replied to What exactly are true characteristics of a racist in the United States. in General Discussion All the racism and bigotry, and plain old fashioned hate and ignorance is what led me to leave covers.. for what, a year? two years?? It seems like there is a disproportionate amount of bigots and racist on here. I dont want to be around ppl like that..the few differences between the ethnic groups shouldnt out weigh all we have in common...were all just tryin to make it day to day. And find a cold one to drink, something to smoke, and someone to lay down with at night...leave long enough to watch our kid's kids grow to do the same thing. Its why he will never be put in a movie w/ batman, superman, etc..they don't stand a chance because he is smarter than all them. He will quickly discover their weakness and exploit it..then finish them off with nunchucks or a dragon punch to the sternum... something like that... created a topic Tim Duncan? for real?? in General Discussion Tired of all the noise about how Tim Duncan is a better player than David Robinson was..Duncan has had a better career than Robinson, that's it. And that is due to to the team around Duncan. Robinson had Avery Johnson getting him the ball (an avg point guard) and the 2nd best player for most of Robinson's career was Sean Elloit (a slightly above avg player)....Duncan has had several all stars get him the ball (Robinson in fact created many of his shots). And the 2nd best player on Duncan's team is a tie: T. Parker and M. Ginobli BOTH all stars on ANY team in the NBA (Elliot prob would not be). What is most troubling is actually how knee jerk people are about it, as if Duncan is far superior to Robinson, it's not even a contest. Dont confuse a player's success won thru the team as his own individual talent/success (in that case Barry Sanders is a loser and not in the greatest RB debate). Robinson was an elite defender and scorer. He defended against the greatest generation/cluster of centers in NBA history almost every night and still out scored most of them! Duncan has so much team depth around him that no one has expected him to lead the team on the court, even when the games/series is on the line over the last few years. And his age has hand nothing to do with it either...it is the Spurs depth. You dudes, caught up in the moment need to check yourself. Prob part of the same crowd who say Lebron is better than Jordan. created a topic The windows 8 debacle in Technology Been using win-8 for couple weeks now (work computer) usuability is terrible. It's just not very efficient or ideal to navigate around multiple folders, files,browsers, browser tabs...and prob etc... And whats up with the hypersentive "hot corners", cuase irratic behavior. If I should buy a home computer again, I will go back to Mac. Keeping desktop and mobile OS fundamentally separate is the way to go. Not only that but the Mac ecosystem is super nice. Apple's cloud infrastructure and design is well thought out and runs smooth as milk. Win 7 is "good" but it's obvious now that it won't evolve as OSX will due to win-8 being Microsoft's flagship OS.
