@sportschat
Thx, much appreciated. When the person you've counted on for so many years is suddenly gone, it's tough, I don't wish that on anybody. I just want to live in her honor, do the right thing, it's how I now get through the day. And yes, conspiracy theorists on Covers ought to be all over this. Good luck to you! |

I'm sure some of you have seen this, I just saw it this morning, CBS sports. The last 14 teams to make the playoffs but lost to a Kirk Cousins led team in the regular season have yet to win the Super Bowl, 0-14, this goes back to 2016 when it became applicable. And yes Cousins and the Falcons beat the Eagles in Philly 22-21 earlier this season (Chiefs beat Cousins and Atlanta this year in Atlanta). The Bucs would also qualify this season getting swept by Cousins and Atlanta. For the superstitious bettors maybe this means something but it's just a fun fact for me, something to talk about, interesting though these so called "curses" in sports. And if you're curious about my play, I made that before the conference championship games, Chiefs +225 to cut down the nets. I've bet on the Chiefs their last 4 Super Bowls, now 5, going 3-1 my only loss being to the Bucs and Brady. As a Tampa Bay rez' that stung especially with the game here, Covid year, limited spectators, well, that's my excuse anyway. So will it be the Curse of Kirk Cousins or the wise elderly Don Juan for the win? Either way I expect another down to the wire game and if one Patrick Mahomes has the ball late pretty good idea I know who'll win. Best of luck to all! |

Thanks again for all kind and supportive words, it really means a lot. Lucky I bought the line off 6, didn't want to push on it, I wanted to win. |

On December 27th my amazing long time girlfriend of 22 years, Shirley, passed away, she was only 51. She was born in Dublin and came to the States as a child. Tall, pretty, beautiful blue eyes, huge heart, and unconditional love for me, as I did for her. In the hustle and bustle of today's world, that's rare. We never passed judgment and always accepted each other and others for who we are. She'd been battling COPD for the past couple years and it just got progressively worse the past year succumbing to cardiac arrest in ICU due to complications from her COPD. For those of you who've lost someone you truly love, I feel your pain, it's hard, really hard, I've shed many tears. She was my Irish Princess. I'll always love you baby! The Eagles have great balance, arguably the best defense and O-line in the game. It's cold and yes that matters more often than not for warm weather teams. They hammered the Rams earlier and for you revenge angle players, Minnesota lost again, Houston lost again, only Washington won over the Bucs and after yesterday you can understand why. And that's another reason I like the Eagles, what happened to Detroit helped them two fold, more aware, you better bring your "A" game, and home field advantage is now theirs for the taking. A little extra incentive, not that I thought they would need it, I placed my bet several days ago. The young Rams defense is going to get pushed around by the Eagles big boys and you know a certain RB is going to have another good game against them, Eagles Soar today. Eagles -5.5, -125 I know the line is up, 6.5 - 7, I don't think it'll matter though. As always good luck to all! Give your loved ones a big hug today, just because.

Can anyone tell my how in the world Boise State will keep up with Penn state today? If you bet CFB and non monopoly money please respond...
in College Football I'm not overly impressed with Penn State, they're good but definitely not great. Boise has historically played well against the "big boys," I think they will again tonight, I'm on the boyz from the blue turf +12, -110. |

@Lucky Luciano Agreed. Should be a very competitive game! @UnderdogKing I feel like the Tennessee defense might have a little attitude tonight, have heard more about Ohio State's defense. Whichever defense plays the best, wins the game, I know that sounds simple but have to get a takeaway or two and help your offense. GL |

Most intriguing matchup of the weekend, two teams fairly evenly matched IMO. They both play good defense, can run the ball and have QBs who can make the necessary throws. SEC teams over the years have been good to me in the big games and while that shouldn't matter it's hard to turn your back on their success. I was surprised to see a 7.5 point spread, thought more like 3.5 - 4. I'll give the "Horseshoe" the 3 points for being home but giving a strong Tennessee team that is similar in style and talent to their opponent 7.5 points seems like too many to me. I also give Josh Heupel the coaching edge over Ryan Day who if he loses could be on the coaching hot seat if not already. Imagine losing to Michigan again and then getting knocked out the first round of playoffs, he probably didn't sleep much last night. Home teams have looked good early on but Tennessee is a team that deserves to be here whereas the 3 losing teams thus far all had serious questions about them. Besides I was born in a small town in Tennessee right outside Ft. Campbell KY, I'm on the Vols who could pull off the upset tonight. Let's go Vols! TENN +7.5, -110 Good luck and Happy and safe Holidays to all! |

@Rush51 First game was actually competitive until Barkley went crazy in the 4th quarter, 8 point winning margin. At this point in the season Daniels is closer to being a "sophomore" than a "freshman". A one score game again. GL |

@cbbguru007 Well said. IF they can win the division and get Winfield back for the playoffs, they're dangerous. Baker has elevated his game, his legs are a weapon when he needs them, Mike Evans is still Mike Evans, and with Bucky Irving leading the way, they're running the ball and running it very well. Kudos to the O-line and O.C. They've beaten the Lions, Eagles, Washington, and now the Chargers, and hammered the Chargers OTR. I would say under the radar too but all for naught if they don't win the division. |

Detroit is due for a flat game. Gimme the Bills to win outright. Lions had a flat game, in fact a bad game against the Texans yet still managed to win. Don't read too much into the line, Bills are good and the Lions haven't lost since the first game to TB so they're "due" to lose. That word "Due" has probably cost bettors more money than anything else. Tread lightly against the top team in the NFC at home. |
