The consensus section was usually one of my first places to start research, particularly since it made it easy to access the odds history. Not a fan of the current setup.

Oh no problem man, I agree though cash flow is number 1 above all things when it comes to long term proven dividend payers. REITs are sort of the cousin of MLPs from a return of capital standpoint. I am not personally in them (at this moment), but if oil prices are of concern that might be another way an investor could get that cash flow going. Just an idea. I think it's important to have several points of view when it comes to ideas on the markets.

I am not sure what you are referring to as far as units of MLPs being illiquid. They may not have the same volume of units changing hands compared to publicly traded corporations have, but that is because your typical MLP holder is investing for income production.
I bought into the MLP that I currently own a couple weeks ago when the units were trading just below book value. And since I am planning on holding long-term, current oil prices really do not really concern me too much. Oil is a finite resource after all.

I know most of you folks like crazy penny stock investments and pyramid schemes, so I may be approaching the wrong crowd. All kidding aside, does anyone own units of publicly traded partnerships or MLPs? Most of them are involved in the energy sector one way or another and pay a high dividend, which is treated as a return of capital. I am only own one currently but my strategy is to essentially take my return of capital every year (13-15%) and use it to purchase other securities. I think its a decent way to build my portfolio over the next 5-10 years.
So, is anyone invested in these as well?

Mac, what way do you lean on this Stanford game tonight? I would think a rebound would make sense. However, Stanford's ability to move the ball was dismal at best.

Is there anything to the line movement I am seeing from 6 to 5? I tried to place a bet with a local and he had it at an even lower 4.5. I was looking to bet GB but with a relatively low number and partially just the principle of him having it at 4.5 I decided not to.
So, it is just alot of GB action that caused the move? GOOD LUCK

Hello everyone, last year I had a profitable year but no track record to prove it. This year I want to keep track of my record. Feel free to follow along.

I dont think it will be a blowout. However, if TB came out and won by a td I wouldnt be shocked. It would seem that Mike Smith would want to keep the momentum and morale high. But what do I know

Hey gilmo, I just looked up the exam schedule for duquesne university and exams start for them tomorrow Dec. 12- 18. I doubt many students will be at the game. How do you think this will affect the game

Everyone, thank you for the input. I like the 20% rule and that's something I kind of implement already. It's helped me keep the number of games I wager on down, which in the long run should keep the odds slightly in my favor just based on the juice you have to pay for each game wagered

Does anyone else have the problem of not betting any games when yall get up a certain dollar amount? I am on a week to to week basis with my sportbook and when I am up anything north of $200 on the week I quit betting. That dollar amount is not much, but as a college student a can pretty much do anything I want during the week on $200. Does anyone else have/had this problem, and how did you overcome it?
