Fun fact: Since the ALCS moved to a best-of-7 series format, 5 of the 6 teams to have managed 4-0 sweeps all went on the lose the subsequent WS. Yankee fans, start praying you don't sweep. |

Barbora lost all intensity at the beginning of the 2nd set and by the time she was refocused, the set was gone, so she mailed it. Check out her 1st serve % for the 1st & 3rd sets combined vs the 2nd set alone. That tells you the whole story of this final. |

@aron25 For the same reason she made the final here: she had a golden horseshoe up her behind. Tell me, how well did she fare in that French Open final? Compete, did she? She's never winning a Slam. You heard it here first. |

Shame for her to lose 2 Slam finals in a row.
Shame for Keys to be on the brink of winning only to suffer a major injury. Sh-t happens. Better player won today, better player was denied winning a few days back because of that injury. Paolini should never have been here to begin with. |

The horseshoe up Paolini's backside is at least as big as the one up the English football team's backside. |

Finals going the way of the Oilers reg. season: crap early on turning into gold later on. |

My 2 cents:
If Florida doesn't win this series in game 6, it doesn't win this series. They've played tight at home all playoffs, that's why their road record (6-2) dwarfs their home record (5-4) since they've started playing decent teams (R2 onwards). More than once in different games I've heard the announcers talk about how the Florida coach has broached this reality, and what he's done to try to alleviate it. That Florida won the opening home games of this series comfortably I believe is down to the Oilers stage fright. That stage fright is over & done with. The Oilers biggest challenge is game 6. Not simply because Florida is more comfortable playing away from home, but because their two wins have come while playing for nothing, since any realistic belief they had to win the series *died* in losing game 3 to go down 3-0. They played games 4 & 5 as dead-men-skating = pressure off. Now they have to win with something on the line again (the possibility of a winner-takes-all game 7), something they failed to achieve in any of the first 3 games when the same condition last applied. So IMO if you like the Oilers to win game 6, pass on their ml and take them to win the series. I'd not back the Over, since this coming game will be tighter than a virgin's a**hole. Game 7 will revisit Over-land if it's needed, because Florida will choke it away.

First time I've ever seen a major tournament (either WC or Euros) start out with the favorite winning at half & fulltime through the first four games. Long experience dictates that the three games tomorrow will not sustain this streak. You'll be lucky if even one of the three faves manages to lead at the half & goes onto win SU. My off the cuff predictions: POL-HOL = draw/Holland SLO-DEN = SLO/draw SER-ENG = draw/draw |

For those interested, Men's favorites have dominated tiebreaks since the start of the 3R: 13-4, 8-0 L8 (19-4 L23). |
