Although LSU has been hot, Missouri has been playing A LOT better against stiff competition with close games against both Illinois and Oklahoma State. Ever since Gant made his debut against Xavier, they've been faaaar from tht same team. I'm not even playing the points, but the MIZ MoneyLine in this one. The Rockets are coming off a overtime win in a late game just last night, while the Pelicans are coming in here rested and off a W against Utah. created a topic T-Cobb's College Football Picks in College Football New to posting to the college football board, but finally decided to come on board and start putting down some input, as well as throwing in some of my picks every week. I usually only bet on 5-7 games each week -- maybe more, maybe less -- depends on the weekly slate, to go along with the amount of confidence I have in all of these teams. Going to start it all up now for week 5. tag along at your own will, while observing and seeing how I do as well. Haven't kept track of my record for the entire season so far, but I'm up a few units, with a plus-record, thus far. My plays will be coming soon though. Just wanted to throw out a welcome post before doing so! I'll keep track of record, +/-, and everything on this post, week-by-week. Any and all input is ALWAYS welcomed. Good luck everybody!! created a topic one LARGE play tonight in MLB Betting St. Louis Cardinals (-111) over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley. Shelby Miller on the mound in yet another big spot. The Cubs do kind of worry me in this spot as they have nothing to lose and a lot to gain against a division enemy, especially with Henricks on the mound who has been nothing short of solid since joining the big league team. Pittsburgh is already down 2-0 against Atlanta, therefore making this game all that much more meaningful for St. Louis. A STL win + PIT loss and the magic number for the Birds moves to 2. Nothing comes close to late September/October baseball down in the Lou. This could turn out to be a dumb bet on my part, especially with how big, but I'll take the risk. BOL to everybody tonight! A team off the top of your head? The Cardinals and Pirates look to be some pretty damn good picks with their battle for the Central division -- not to mention, the Cardinals battling for home-field advantage. The Royals and Tigers would be two more good ones to throw down on. What are some teams YOU plan on going with? Of course we're all going off the odds and such before actually placing, but I'm sure we all have some teams in mind we'd be looking at first -- or down the line. What are yours?? Discuss... replied to F mizzou in College Football As a Missouri fan, this is why I rode UI at the 15.5 all the way to the bank. I usually stay away from us, but this was an epic trap game from the very start. they were focused completely on getting this game over for the South Carolina game next week. As for the offense? Mauk did good when he had protection, Hansborough did his job, the WRs did fine when they had more than 2 seconds to run their routes...the offensive line was TRASH. not sure what's up with Boehm and his high snaps, but I gotta see if he has a wrist problem or what, them snaps killed us. As for the defense? absolutely terrible. once we lost Golden, our young secondary couldn't keep up. we've been protected by our vicious front 7 up until today, and we got exposed. Golden is fine and will be there next week though. We still control our destiny to repeat as East champs, and this game could go a loooong way. Hopefully Pinkel runs them boys to the dirt all week long. the national audiance will see a completely different team next week in SC. It did nothing but drop us out of the top 25 (which is where I like it heading into SEC play). every team in the East is up and down and it's completely wide open. I'll take this loss. Is it embarassing? you're damn right it is. it definitely stings...A LOT. but the final 4 is still a possibility, SEC East champs is still there, and now less pressure is on us media wise. Hopefully the line has Missouri as HUGE underdogs thanks to their win over Georgia last week and our embarassment today. I'm all over it. MIZ!!!!!! Checked my email out and had a free $100 play this morning, so bet it all on Baltimore over the Steelers and won. Anybody else ever played there? Is it legit? One of the better websites? created a topic Western Kentucky at Illinois (Sat) in College Football I see the Illini is now favored by -5 right now, which seems a bit fishy to me. The talent gap here isn't very close, and Illinois finally got it rollin' in the fourth last week as QB Wes Lunt and their talented offense started to click. Anybody have any information on why not to take the Illini? or at the very least, care to try talking me out of betting on them to cover? I've seen a lot of cappers/experts all over WKU winning this one...why??? Talented QB in Ely (former Bama QB), decent WR's..but thats about it. Thoughts????? BOL everybody. created a topic T-Cobb's Week Two Bets (BIIIIGGGG) in College Football Missouri (-3.5) against Toledo Illinois (-6) against Western Kentucky Going big on both of these games, although both of them seem to be trap games to me. Both teams are more talented by a wide margin, and with both lines being so close and just one possession games per the line, I'm really loving these two. I will also be parlaying these two games to go along with my bets on the both of them alone. More games may come later, but for right now, these are my only picks. Luckily, my gut told me to stay away from it altogether. 3 TDs called back on phantom calls, a missed FG, yet 2 late TDs with under 6 minutes left in a 31-7 game puts the total on the OVER side. crazy, crazy game on the betting side of things. Game on my book has the line at St. Louis (-115), Cincinnati (-105). Johnny Cueto has been Cy Young-like for a lot of this season, while Lance Lynn has been dominate at home through out his entire career as a member of STL. Considering going big on the Birds. created a topic one BIG play for tonight (Monday) in MLB Betting Justin Masterson and the St. Louis Cardinals (-132) over Mike Leake and the Cincinnati Reds (+122). Cincinnati is coming off a double-header just yesterday, as well as a travel-night following the second game, while the Cardinals are playing some good baseball -- mixed in with the fact they had no traveling in between as they played at home over the weekend. Not to mention, Masterson is coming off his best game in a Cardinals uniform and facing a team he has completely OWNED throughout his career. I love St. Louis in this spot.
