Well, I have finally hit a royal on 5dimes. Yes, it happens.
I've also had video poker sessions where I pressed my bets. One time I went nuts and was up to $25 bets. I hit a straight flush with $25 bet. If they weren't dealing fair, I would think they would take away high hands when you have a max bet. So, I conclude the video poker on 5dimes is truly fair. |

Anyone ever hit a royal flush playing video poker on offshores?
in Gaming Industry - US
I've played maybe 5,000 hands in online casinos, and I haven't hit. I know that's not enough hands to judge, but I'm curious if anyone has any insight on the fairness of the dealing.
Mind you, I'm not talking about online table poker against others. The house has no interest in preventing royal flushes there, because it's player vs player. I'm talking about classic video poker - Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, Joker Poker, etc. In my experience, the dealing seems pretty fair, but what's to stop them from cheating you out of royals? Who would ever know? Who has oversight on them? If you're playing with a British or Australian outfit, I suppose maybe you can expect some legal assurance of fair deals, but outside of those, good luck. Just curious - any interesting offshore video poker experiences? |

UCLA never covers? They're 81-69 ATS at home since 1990, by my count.

It would be nice if it was easy going, but somehow I'm thinking it's not. Bitcoin is a less known quantity than USD. A couple of months ago I tried to initiate a deposit on 5dimes - told them I was going to do a Western Union, and they responded saying Western Union had stopped taking transfers from the US to Central America, so I couldn't do it.
It didn't matter much since there was only a little bit of NBA left. I just dropped it, but now I want to get some dough in there to bet on early Week 1 football lines. What are the options now for Americans to fund offshores? |

Careful, folks. Cops love nothing more than entrapment. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out some local Keystone Kop dreamed up a scheme to bust someone big time. They stash $100k somewhere in public where they can watch it, and if some poor sap tries to walk away with it - BOOM, busted.

Nebraska is insane. I was born and raised there, went to many games growing up in the Osborne Era. I was even born in 1971, the all-team greatest Nebraska year (tied with '95).
Having now fired Pelini after a 9-3 season, and Solich after a 10-2, I am formally resigning as a Nebraska fan. |

It's the exact same thing with weed and sports gambling. Chickensh*t politicians are afraid to change anything. Their sacred cows are from a bygone era, and the only way anything will get changed is by direct action of the people.

How many covers brothers are chess players?
I've been playing at an informal club for about two years now. Everyone there has a lot more experience than me. It's a good way to learn, but it gets old constantly losing to them. In order to surpass them in experience, I would have to play daily, and I don't have time for it. On the other end of the spectrum, if you go to a public tournament, you'll get your butt handed to you by children who are being coached and tutored and who play every day at school. It's frustrating, and easy to become obsessed with. Interested in chess experiences and observations of all kinds... |
