Go thru and check each game, look to see if the team that won the game also covered the spread..... then do the math and get back to me.

Hello all. Have been away for a few years but thought I would past this along once again and post this as I had for years in the past.
In NFL (only) : If you can pick the winners of games without figuring the in the point spread you will do very very well week in and week out. Year after year out the winner of the game(s) also covers the spread at about 70% to 80%. This is not just a trend, it is a fact, go back and look at past years and do the math. The spread rarely figures into winning or losing your bet. Week #1 was 12-2 -1 I believe. So , if you have a knack for picking straight up NFL winners do not bother looking at the spreads as they could sway you to go the other way, just pick the winner of the game straight up and will see you at the pay window. Best of luck to you all this season. IceMan |

FYI, FINAL 2013 P.D.M. REGULAR SEASON TOTAL was
211-42-4. This is not a fluke. |

LOL, it just goes to show ya how "all them points" can sway you one way or another when betting on the NFL.. Year in and out is always about the same at end of year 70-80 %.

Just a quick P.D.M. (points don't matter) update that I started at beginning of season. If you have a knack for picking outright winners of games in NFL, then you would have a very profitable season year in and out. The tally for the 2014 season with just a couple weeks left is :
Y.T.D. 181-36-6 .... Just 36 games this season has the point spread played into to outcome of winning or losing a bet !.
Best of luck, happy and safe Holidays to you all. IceMan

This is just another angle to consider. Maybe take your 5 best teams to win outright today, just see how you would of done had you bet them ? .... again, it is not easy but some people have a knack for picking outright winners consistently and with a 80 percent chance of the winner to cover the betting line, that is a very good percentage to have on your side. |

I have always used closing line of each game when keeping track of this over the years. Good luck to you. |

Here is your P.D.M. mid season tally. For those of you that don't know what this is, plain and simple : Never mind the point spreads, if you can pick outright winners of NFL games and you were to wager on the teams that you expect to win the game you will be at the ticket window collecting each and every week. The point spreads rarely figures into you winning or losing your bet. This is not a fluke, has been consistent for years and years ( 70-80%). Best of luck to all.
P.D.M. after 8 games in NFL : Y.T.D. : 100-17-3

At the start of the season I posted on how the points don't matter in NFL games as far as winning or losing a bet(s). This is a known fact (unknown to most) year after year. Just pick the outright winner of the game and don't worry about the points. Have a knack for picking game winners straight up ?.....well, If you do take a look. After 4 weeks in the NFL the PDM total so far are : 52-7-2 (13-0-0 in week 4). I will be back at mid season with your next update, till then, best of luck to you all. Ice Man

2014 NFL SEASON KICKOFF "PDM" ( points don't matter ) ANNUAL PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
in NFL Betting Hello to all. The past few years I have posted at or near the start of the season the "P.D.M."( points don't matter ) total for the past NFL season. It is a fact year in and year out in the NFL that the points only play a very small percentage of time in determining the outcome when betting with a point spread in the NFL.
Note : I am not saying I know the winners of the games, I am not saying it is easy to pick outright winners of games. I am simply saying that if you seem to have a knack for picking outright winners of NFL games without factoring in the point spread, well you would be a wealthy man at seasons end !.
Year after year the percentage of games that the points do not factored into winning or losing a bet is right about 75 %. So, look at the games and decide who you think will win period and don't worry about the point spread. Again, I am not claiming this to be easy to do or to know who will win. I am just letting you all know that last season the total for the year was once again a mind blowing 211-42-4. Yes that's right !, just 42 games last season did the points factor in on winning or losing a bet. And is nothing new, it has been this way for years and years. The 2012 season was near exactly the same as last season.
So, say you like a dog and have a strong feeling for them to win outright you may want to consider sprinkling the ML ?. Pick the outright winner of the games, spend less time looking at the point spreads of the games and spend more time counting you cash !. The best of luck to all this season.
P.S. Before you start posting that this is B.S , bad info, etc..... go do your homework ! ...I do mine and the numbers don't lie !. Ice Man

I first posted this back in Oct. just a few games into the season. I gave a early, a mid season, and a late season update on P.D.M.(points dont matter) in N.F.L. regular season games. I keep track each year and It is nothing new and has been this way for years and years and once again the #'s fall right in line with past years. Still is amazing to me just how few games that the points play into the outcomes of the games. Hope it helped anyone one that saw this. Remember for next season.... look at weekly games, pick the outright winner without the spread points....if you can do that successfully..... you will be very wealthy !!. Final 2013 regular saeason P.D.M. total : 211-42-12. Good luck to all in the playoffs. P.S ...."bluecob4lt's" where ya at ?..... told you I would check back with you being you had some comments on me and this !. Any more to say ?....

Well, not at all a surprising the P.D.M. (points don't matter) numbers are right were they have been for years in and out in the N.F.L. Pick and bet the winners of games outright and your $ will pile up faster then the snow here in Minnesota. After week 13 P.D.M. record sits at 138-30-3 ATS. Thank you ........
We now return you to your regular TV programming. Good luck to all.
