According to Economic policy institute, cutting medicaid to give low taxes for the rich is a terrible trade for bottom 40% of families.  Cuts would increase hardship and misery  for struggling families.  Cuts will lead to higher medical debt , lower earnings from future workers  who will suffer from poor health and put pressure on government deficits.    US economy may be more vulnerable to recession.  Cuts might cost government more in the long term.

Indeed.  There was no electric vehicle mandate under Biden administration.  Environmental protection agency implemented emissions standards for future vehicles (after 2006) which can be either gas or electric.  Many lies in Trump speech.  DOGE found hundreds of billions of dollars in fraud.  US spend more than Europe on aid for Ukraine defense.   Millions of people over 100 years of age collect social security.  Paris climate accord costing US trillions.  Trump claims to terminate green new scam.  Biden administration let egg prices increase out of control.  21 million illegal immigrants. Lowest number of illegal border crossings ever recorded.  Weaponization of justice department against Trump.  Worst inflation under Biden in US history. Agriculture purchases by China.  Military recruitment.  Thousands of Americans died during building of Panama canal.

Economist Derek Holt says that Trump is lying about fentanyl rationale for tariffs on Canada.  US data shows Canada is an insignificant source of fentanyl into the US.  Trump made Canada tighten border security  when it was all for naught.  Actually, US fear about border security isn't the real reason.  Instead Trump is manufacturing a crisis to declare a national security emergency to bypass congress.  This means negotiation won't work and retaliation is the only option in unjustified trade war.

Ignorant Musk falsely claims social security is a ponzi scheme despite 97% of eligible Americans receiving benefits.  Apparently, DOGE sees seniors who qualify for social security as the waste.  Goal of spending cuts is to rob working people of benefits they have earned to pay for tax cuts of the super rich.

Warren Buffet calls Trump economic war a very bad idea.  Wall street journal criticizes Trump for launching the dumbest trade war in history for no good reason.  Economists believe new tariffs carry more risks than during his first term.  They warn Trump not to screw up the strong economy inherited from Biden.
