replied to LIPPSMAN'S 5/23/18 Game 7 NHL thread in NHL Betting I'll provide the history lesson then while doing my best lippsman impression ................................ so game 7 with a chance to play for the cup on the line...you would think the home team fares pretty well in these spots, wouldn't you? well, you would be correct. in game 7s of conference finals, while not a big sample size (32 games) the home team is 21-11. not bad at all - .656 win %. in all rounds, home teams are 96-70 in game 7s, good for a .578 win %. either way, -140 seems a tad short, solely based on history. this is just one tool to use when capping this game. replied to Does anyone have some early season longshot odds on Vegas to win the Cup? in NHL Betting Sounds like Knights attention has brought more action to the books, and many directors say it'd be a loss, but they would like it because it's great for the city. The books also brought their odds down so low during the season to limit their liabilities. Some offshore markets have actually said they would make money off a Knights cup. So I think it's being blown a little out of proportion, although it definitely sounds like a loss for strip books if the Knights do pull it off.
