replied to Media Bias... in General Discussion Everyone (apart from Chelsea fans) knows how much of a distasteful character he is, who, for someone reason, is afforded a great deal of protection from the English sports press. There was even one hack from the dismal Daily Mail (a right wing, xenophobic & slightly racist rag) who hailed the Football Association for convicting Suarez through a civil trial, where outcomes can be reached through a 'balance of probability' (i.e. no evidence is required) Yet this same hack, just 7 months later, wrote a column decrying the fact that Terry could be found guilty by the FA using the same methods. Basically stating that "It's not right!" The whole Suarez issue exposed huge amounts of hypocrisy from UK sports journos and all the bandwagon jumpers who wanted their one minute of fame. I won't be sad to see many of these newspapers fold and so-called journalists out of a job, as revenues continue to drop thanks to a large swathe of the general public seeking unbiased, intelligent news content from other sources.
