Forgive me for what I'm about to say, but.... are the Blues worth a solid play @ 1.74 on Friday night?
YES - they were atrocious against the Rebels (and several others of late), but the Sharks didn't exactly set Wellington alight. In fact, they got absolutely belted by the Hurricanes.
They're on the final leg of a three-game road trip and will be looking forward to getting home to Africa.
Add the fact that Pat Lam has been HAMMERED by media and the fans this week. He even broke down at a presser today when it emerged some had gone as far as using racial slurs. All I've seen on Twitter tonight is support messages from players flowing in for the coach of the Blues. Are you telling me these players don't respond in a hail of fury on Friday night? They've burnt me a few times this year and sit dead last, however I can see them destroying the Sharks this week.
While Patrick Lambie returns, Bismarck du Plessis has flown back to Durban with an injury, meaning Craig Burden will start his second game at hooker. BdP is a HUGE loss. He didn't start in last week's 42-18 drubbing and for what it's worth, Wellington scored 35 of their 42 points while he was on the sidelines.
Blues on their last chance for me. If they don't win this, they're dead to me. Hitting them now.

For a team playing for their reputation, that was appalling.
Down 0-15, they took a 22-20 lead. So what do you do next? Concede 14 points in the next five minutes. These guys go down as the most talented team on paper but the most incompetent bunch of misfits when it comes to actually piecing it together.

Or maybe not...
