Breezys NRL Round 3 (and AFL)

1-3 last week so overall 2-7. The thing I love about NRL is that it always seems to come down to the last couple minutes. If anyone had Storm 1-12 last night then that sucks. Of course 2 tries is achievable in 5 minutes but really Storm would’ve only got 2 more sets in that 5 minutes, maybe 3. 

Anyways AFL is back as well. Exciting. Blues did great last night, with just a bit more fitness it that last quarter they might’ve come back and won. 2nd quarter let them down really, even though they maintained the lead for majority.

Is there any reason for this West’s Tigers team to have won 3 games all season, let alone 3 games in a row? Loving broncos here. West’s just played probably the two best teams in the league and while it was awesome to watch, you just can’t expect that to happen consistently for the tigers.

Yeah I try and stay away from the 1-12s as well but I always have a sneak peak at them and sometimes the value looks good (because that’s how I see the game playing out), I really should stop it though. You’re right about the broncos, hard to have much faith in this team, I think it’s a wonderful opportunity tonight for them to make a bit of noise though. Jeez, lots of value today in AFL and NRL. I want to put my whole life onto sharks beating the eels tonight but I just really don’t like betting against your own team in a spot they need a win. First play is 

South Sydney Rabbitohs ml vs Manky Sea Eagles ($2.20)

its not not the best spot to play when a team is coming off a 54 point win but season is somewhat on the line today, can they go down 0-3 and come back for a top 8 spot; not with the talented teams around they can’t. I think the Bunnies have the bigger names and today is just when they’ll shine

collingwood magpies ml @ Hawthorn Hawks (2.09) 

its always been about injuries for the magpies because their midfield is potentially the best in the comp. with a healthy team I think they win a few games, don’t make finals but they’re certainly better to take on these Hawks and other bottom 8 teams.

Gold Coast suns ml vs North Melbourne (1.99)

I know Dangerfield is the best player in the AFL but I just don’t see how he is as important as Viney and Mcdonald are to Melbourne. Cats at 2.20 is sexy and I’m taking it.It’s their best lost minus Danger and they still have Gary Jesus Ablett on the field. I see Melbounre probably 1 more year off truly contending. Their list still features a lot of fringe players.

also loving Giants in this ot. Doggies relying on two very young unproven key forwards to get their goals. Bont is great but is only getting slower by the minute. Giants are a premiership contender and it’ll be proven today (not that it has too, it’s widely known they are).

As much as I feel Dragons are a play against the Titans, I’m going to lay off because they’ve had a tough first two weeks Dragons and you could forgive them for a bit of a letdown here. I am really liking the roosters though. Looked a bit better last week but still not where they should be . Knights aren’t exactly the team to stop you so I think Roosters find a bit more chemistry today. What it’s going to be like against most teams, Roosters with just too much talent.
