Early look at this week's AFL lines

Won't be betting on every game but just a short analysis on each game and my early thoughts and leans.

Geelong vs St Kilda

Traditionally these two play close games and both teams have a couple of key outs. Geelong have more key ins though. Like Geelong to win but the Saints to cover. The dog has a remarkable record in Friday AFL this year too. Saints +15.5

Essendon vs Carlton

Lost all faith in the Dons. Couldn't beat North despite their depleted bench. Carlton can match Essendon with speed and with Judd back should be too strong. Like them to win and cover the -5.5.

GWS vs Melbourne

Won't be touching this game but if I had a gun to my head and had to bet it then I'd probably just take the points with the home dog. GWS +34.5

Fremantle vs Richmond

Despite the loss to Adelaide last week Fremantle have been in good touch. Can't ignore their huge win away from home earlier in the year against Richmond and what they did to West Coast a couple of weeks ago. Freo to roll. Fremantle - 17.5

Collingwood vs North Melbourne

Very impressed with both sides last round. Swan remains out for this game but Collingwood have a lot of depth in the midfield so they can compensate for his loss to a degree. North have lost Daniel Wells and Leigh Adams but get Jack Ziebell back this week I believe. It's hard to make a call either way but at this stage I'd have to take the points with a hot North side. North +22.5

The other lines for the rest of the games aren't out yet but I'll fill in the rest as they're released. Good luck

GWS looks good even without Ward

Looks like they will be getting back Coniglio and Greene this week

@LLB - that is a huge line. Hawthorn can cover easily. but depends on their motivation on the day.

Brisbane vs Adelaide

Won't touch this game but on form alone you'd have to go with Adelaide. Brisbane haven't got much left in the tank and that has been on show the last few weeks. Adelaide with a top two spot on the line to win and get a percentage boost. Adelaide -31.5

Port Adelaide vs West Coast

If Hawthorn wanted to they could have beaten Port by 100+ last week. I don't know which way to go in this one because it's hard to get a read on West Coast lately as well. So with no confidence it's Port +39.5.

Western Bulldogs vs Sydney

Similar situation to the Brisbane and Adelaide game with Sydney after that top 2 spot. And after a loss at home last week I'll think Sydney will rebound with a big win here, much like they did earlier on in the year when they faced the Dogs. Sydney -49.5

Hawthorn vs Gold Coast

Gee, how do you cap a 105.5 spread. Hawthorn love beating up on weak teams like GC and Hawthorn could demolish them if they want to. Another game I won't touch but I guess in this situation you just take the points and hope GC will have enough to keep it respectable by their standards. Gold Coast +105.5
