9-1 in last 10.
Dogs v Broncos. Ok, this is normally an emotional bet for me with my beloved doggies up. I have won on every game the Broncos have played this season and have watched them closely. Now, some would say they are due for a let down considering they have been up every week except the 1st, i am not so sure, i have watched them every week, they havent really played, lets call it really out of there skin. Its not as if they have come out in any of there games and just thrashed the opposition away really apart from the game against the Tigers last week. Normally you can tell when a team is playing out of there skin they are due for a let down, but not so sure about the broncs. They are just grinding teams away with great D, nothing special, i dont really expect a big dip from them tonight. If they come out tonight and play unbelievable, all what that means to me is put a massive massive bet against them next week as it is physically impossible in this comp to be up every week, especially a young team like the Broncs. Tonight MIGHT be there peak but the chances are last week was there peak.
My beloved doggies have had a good steady start to the season while still trying to get comfortable with there brand new spine. every week they are improving. In our 2 biggest games this year, we have failed. Against the storm, we were always on the back foot starting with Goodwins brain explosion at the start to the numerous drop balls against the drags. HOWEVER, in BOTH games, as bad as we were, there were some crucial points, against the storm, we were down by 4 and got disalllowed a try to which Harrigan came out and said he should have given it, and against the Drags, down 16-6 with 15 to go, Keating passing it to Boyd who intercepts and runs fr 80 metres to score. If the pass found its mark, it would have been 16-12, 15 to go, coming home with some momentum. Not saying if those things when our way we would have won, but you never know.
It looks like it is raining hard in Brisbane, my play is either gonna be Dogs ML or under.
Rabbits v Sharks.
There is some rain around, HOWEVER, i am really liking the under here. I know the terms under and south should never be used in the same sentence, but the sharks are missing there 2 best attacking players and certainly one of there weak links in defense - Kelly. If you are the sharks coach, you would have to think 18 points should win it for you. The injuries mean you must turn this into an ugly defensive grind as much as possible, that is the sharks only hope. The rabbits can score but cant defend for shit. But if they cannot contain the sharks tonight then seriously, they are headed for the spoon.
Inglis is a danger BUT i really like him matched against Pommeroy who is a very very solid defensive centre.
Furthermore, one would THINK with Tim Smith forming a new combo with Graham and wright at the back, there are gona be a few mistakes and no fluency in attack....
Pick, Under 40.5
