Rabbits at home playing an away Titans team to start a shorten round of only 4 games.
Two teams that sit 13th and 14th on the ladder both on 4 wins from 13 games. For and against has the Titans slightly in front of Souths.
Looking at the past 5 games of these teams to try and get some understanding on where they stand.
Rabbits last week played a Top 4 team in Brisbane Broncos. Rabbits have been slow starters in this game and in fact a lot of games this year. In this Brisbane game they hit back after beening 12-0 down and look like it was lights out. But when the game was on the line the Rabbits just cant push forward and Brisbane once again shoot away with Rabbits hitting back with the game beening over. A trend that has happened a few times this year.
The week before they played the Eels a winnable game but couldnt reel them in after a slow start again. Some say because the play in Perth against Storm the week before but i think it no excuse. It been a pattern of their play this year.
The game at Perth they were in it all the way against Storm and have been quite well. They can match it against the big guns but have hadnt a win since they played a troubled Tigers team that really showed the white flag this year already and fighting a battle with knights for the wooden spoon.
Titans last 5 games have lost 3. Recent games was against a warriors team who havent won in Australia for a long while. Titans scored early and looked to go on with it but a quick reply back was pretty much ended their attack.
Week before they lost to the Cowboys without Thurston. A game that even up their chance but didnt take. Their last win was against the top team of Storm who had their strong team was able to scored 38. This Titans team can do this. This was the team biggest win of the season. But it looked to be once in a blue moon win.
After looking at their recent games the Titans have lost Wallace and Hayne. Two players who can help change games and start a rally. No rabbits players are in Origin. They have a better forward pack on paper and think the backline is at least even maybe a tad better.
I liking the rabbits their losses in the past two week have been not that bad. They are at home and i think playing the Titans at the right time. It near on season ending for the loser and that may be a bit of a worry for the line to cover. But i think if the rabbits start well they will go on with it tonight.
