Some tricky games this weekend but there does appear to be one standout.
Reds have been awful in most games especially the season opener against Brumbies. They don't know what to do with O'Connor who isn't playing well in any case. Genia has had one good game only. They're still short through injuries, their discipline is non existent and all in all they're a shambles. I expect them to improve on Saturday if for no other reason than that it will be difficult to maintain such poor performances as they've been tossing up. However you'd open an ICAC inquiry if they improved sufficiently to knock off the Brumbies.
That being said, the Brumbies lack of possession in recent games (38% and 35% the last two matches) is a concern. One reason for this is that they back themselves to defend without pushing the boundaries of the breakdown laws, thus reducing penalties but also limiting turnover opportunities. Against good sides this can mean tackling for 20+ phases, which they've managed very well. I really couldn't see the Reds stringing together 20 phases against the local under 10's so hopefully the Brumbies can get hold of 40%+ possession. If so it is hard to see the Reds staying within coo-ee.
I've taken Brumbies -7.5 @ $1.90 for my biggest go of the season to date.
Good punting all

Have you read about the Brumbies altitude training facility? Training @ equiv of 2200m altitude, 50% humidity and 30 degrees heat. Must have a huge fitness edge

I hadn't but looked it up after your post. Apparently just using it for their rehab blokes at the moment but looking to extend it to full squad prior to SA trip. I've no doubt it is advantageous - I'm old enough to remember Ralph Doubell winning in Mexico City after training at altitude.
Thanks for the info and good punting.
