A loss by the Chiefs last week leaves the record at 8 wins from 12 rounds.
The policy of both the SA and NZ conferences of resting world cup players makes punting difficult, but brave hearts that we are, we will find someone to have a bet on. I can see reasons to back each side ats in each game this round so I have selected on the basis of the least compelling reason not to choose a side, if that makes sense.
The game I have decided on is Rebels/Blues. My main concern with Rebels is their lack of scoring and so it generally doesn't take too many points to knock them over. McMahon is also a big loss. On the other hand they are a better side than I have been giving them credit for and their ability to string together many phases can and does frustrate opponents. The Blues are a side capable of putting on points but they make far too many errors, have lost perhaps their best 2 players among others, and away from home have been a complete disaster.
I know from their comments in last week's thread that melossinglet and t2m will also be on this play so good luck fellas.
Rebels -3.5 @ what appears a very generous $1.95.
Good punting all.
