Sydney Uni/Southern Districts

There won't be too many agencies betting on this but sportstab have Uni giving 12.5  @ 1.87 take your pick.

Souths did well to knock off the Woodies last week but they always play well against Eastwood. I only found out that the TAB was betting on that game while out at Milner and gladly had a dip at the 14.5 on offer (even though it was against my Club). Woods pretty much gave them this game with a very poor 1st half.

Souths v Uni is a totally different kettle of fish and believe me, Souths can be chalk and cheese. Even though Uni don't have their usual 6 or 7 returning from Super rugby (I think they've only got Tilse and McCutcheon back) they invariably belt Southern Districts and they always play Grand Final day. After their 2's knocked off the previously undefeated Woods side yesterday and looked very sharp, I can see the Students getting on top early and going on with it for a comfortable win.

For me it's Uni -12.5 @ $1.87.

How glad I am to be wrong!

While Souths always play well against the Woods I am so much happier playing them than Uni in the GF for the simple reason that Uni have a habit of winning the critter. The oft heard catchcry throughout district rugby of "anyone but Uni" will at least be fulfilled next weekend. It certainly won't be a walk in the park for the Milner crew but if both teams play to their best the Woodies should take the bickies purely and simply because they are the better team, regardless of last week's result.

You won't be able to bet on this one but Woods should also take the 4th grade GF having beaten Manly last week with 14 men for two-thirds of the game and have been the best side in that comp all season.

For nothing more than interest sake my tips in the other two are 2's Manly, 3's Uni.
