Might as well try and keep this one running for the duration. And might as well start off with Lote Tuqiri.
LOTE Tuqiri's season is in tatters, with a second round of arm surgery putting him out of action for at least three months.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal the 33-year-old went under the knife
on Tuesday after scans showed his torn bicep had not healed properly.
Tuqiri
sustained the injury in last year’s Round 18 clash against Canterbury,
ending his season on a bitter note for the second year running.
Tuqiri broke his forearm in just the third weekend of the previous season.
The
latest setback leaves a huge question mark over the dual
International’s future, with Tuqiri only on a one-year deal with the
Tigers.
He pushed hard for the deal to end on the right note after his horror run over the past two seasons.
"Lote
has worked hard in pre-season training. He was doing all the fitness
work but hasn’t been able to get a clearance from the surgeon to do any
contact work," coach Mick Potter said.
"We will do everything we can to support his rehabilitation and our main priority is to ensure that he fully recovers."
Tuqiri said: "I was really looking forward to helping the club have the success that everyone is after this year.
"I have to accept the reality. I will work hard on my rehab and hope to make a contribution later in the year."

Might as well file this one in the injury thread. Betting canceled in the Sharks game - up to 14 players to be stood down? Sharks feign ignorance but cancel tomorrow's mall appearance. ................................
