These people just need to stop! ENOUGH! Just talked with
one and he swears up and down if the goal counted going into the half different formation, etc and different game and they would have won!
I am like WTF?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING!?! The guy was serious. He says everything was different since they were down and that's why Germany scored 3 MORE GOALS!

I then tell the guy I do not think the English teams is top elite World Class Material and they are perhaps the most overrated team in the world with all their "SUPPOSED" top 50 players?!?!
My point is I do not think they would have beat Germany. Germany totally outplayed them and even if there goal was allowed (WHICH IT SHOULD HAV BEEN BY THE WAY) Germany had their number.
I say look back to the group level where they could not beat ALGERIA!! USA and Slovenia beat Algeria right?!

Anyway, most teams get shit calls in this WC; got to factor it in best you could and move foward. USA did and won their group!
Sure we got knock out in the 16 but we moved past adversity of GETTING ROBBED BY AT LEAST 2 TERRIBLE CALLS, ONE UNDOUBTABLY AS BAD AS ENGLANDS DISALLOWED GOAL!

Go home England and shut your whining pusses up!
You would have not beaten ANY of the following teams anyway:
Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Netherlands, Uruguay.

I some what agree with England. They had momentum with a 2-2 tie at half if they would have counted the goal. They come out for the 2nd half with a diffent stratagy, but we will never know

2-2 is a different ballgame 2nd half. Less risktaking, bigger confidence coming down from 0-2, more energy. The only reason Germany scored on those counters was because England went all out attack. I still think they would have eventually lost, but no Q it would have been a much tighter game

I don&#x27;t think anyone can say England would have won...... however, i don&#x27;t think anyone can say they would not have won...... that was a huge goal that was disallowed... 2-2 with all of the momentum is much much much much much different than 2-1 and deflated over a bad call......&#xD;&#xA;Fact is, if that game is tied 2-2, it is a coin flip game at that point...... anybody who argues that is full of it!

Listen, Germany definitely was the better team yesterday, BUT, Germans would have been rocked with the 2 quick goals and you never know what would happen if it was 2-2.  It was very obvious England was pressing when they were down a goal late in the game so the final score does not tell the story at all.  I&#x27;ve been against replay all along but they have to use it now (like MLB and the other sports) to not let these gross injustices happen.  No sour grapes here (although it cost me a bet on England team total over 1 - I have to be honest), but that was a goal - they are hard to get in World Cup, can&#x27;t lose one like that.

DiverRon-Chill would you England wasnt dominated in this game, they had more shots on net and they had more time of possesion it was lax defending that cost them,scoring goals is not easy in Football one goal could have most definetly made the diffrence in the momentum.

Please someone tell me: in the 4 matches that England played in the World Cup, at what point did they look like a world class team?

Can you argue that they are even better than the USA given what was seen in the World Cup? Nope.

England had a clear goal called back. No question, the game may have changed at 2-2 instead of 2-1. The fact is the Krauts handled the second half situation better and took advantage of a very average English team and poured in 2 more goals. In terms of responding to adversity, the English folded like cheap tents. This is hardly the trait of a world class team. In fact, the POMS were fortunate to get out of the Group stage. So, it anyone really surprised they lost to a better German squad??
