No book grades that way. and the odds would have been much higher than +160 if that were the case but they are saying that it's a loss
Chelsea won 1-0. Am I wrong?

@OVLIVINLEGEND3
You were already advised by the previous advisor being able to confirm that it was settled correctly. The Handicap was Chelsea -1 and they won exactly by 1, so the winning selection would have been a handicap draw. This matters in scoring and in the house rules.
This is what they told me.

I don’t use fan dual. I have a buddy who does. And his was as well. Soon as he told me -1 was +160. I knew it was one of those bets where they had to win by 2. -1 on my book was -105 and the -1.5 was +160

They must have JUST changed this. I used to bet these all the time. What a scumbag book. I understand reading rules, but it's basically worldwide that -1 means a push if they win by 1. They love being scumbags and taking peoples money/posting lines too late.

I have bet -1 there before and it be graded a push. This is a way to steal money. No other book does this (which is why they offer .5 lines). I wish 5dimes would get their license for the states. Fanduel is a shit site

Just found out they are the only book that does this. LOL america needs more competition, any other book that's a push. What a waste and scummy.

Books make bank off of people not reading the stipulations of a wager..

The problem is outside of the rules where does it say European or Asian?
if you read their rules it says there is a push option, but then also states it doesn’t. Unless I’m reading incorrectly. No where does it just up and say euro or Asian

Okay but I don’t shop lines, so how would I know that?
the first paragraph of their rules states this
Our sportsbook offers 3-way spreads on soccer fixtures as well. In a typical scenario for spread betting, the favorites are pre-penalized (-1) or (-2) or (-2 ½) goals and can win, lose, or “push” the outcome based on the final score. This would potentially produce a returned-bet scenario by winning by the same (-1) or (-2) margin that’s been handicapped in the betting market. However, at FanDuel, gamblers are given three options on the spread: Favorite-to-cover, Underdog-to-cover, or Handicap Draw.
doesn’t it say can win, lose, or DRAW the spread?

It’s all your responsibility to know. That’s gambling. Books aren’t going to tell you shitt. So shop lines, understand what the Asian handicaps should be priced at based upon where the ml is set and if you’re getting a good line or a bad line. Or if a line seems too good to be true.
when you lose a wager, it’s YOUR fault, no one else’s. That simple.
every experienced gambler who bets on soccer would have known that that line wasn’t an Asian handicap. And more importantly, they wouldn’t be complaining about how the book didn’t tell me this or that. Take responsibility for your bets and learn how to do it before you bet. Or stop whining. Either way

this has happened to me twice also until i finally learned alternate spreads on fanduel are always like this. u have to cover -1 to win. the handicap draw you will win if they win by exactly 1.

The rules state you can select Draw as a betting option. . This has nothing to do with pushing the bet. Or drawing with the book lol
Draw option was the winner like the book told u.
You take a goal off Chelsea and it finished 0-0. Draw.
With handicaps you are used to (asian)there is no 3rd option to select Draw...so if Draw the bet pushes but odds reflect this hence -105 is what u wanted

Did you really think on the option that a draw was gonna be lower odds then a team with a -1 spread??? I’m not bashing or being smart. But you may want to research how soccer lines work for future reference.

And I get it, I did bet the game last second and I didn’t shop lines as it was last second. I shouldn’t have called anyone a dummy but a) the rule says multiple things and b) I have bet the -1 before on fanduel over the years and feel like they just changed over to euro rules. Either way lesson learned.

I learned that years ago when I started to wager on European football and losing on a -1 line-hopefully you didn't lose too much cash, but common sense would tell you getting a +160 line on a -188/-200 fave would be a -1 Euro or -1.5 Asian...and a -1 would be around even money...as DTP mentioned, do your homework since the books aren't in the business of teaching the rules...good luck in the future!
