There are many reasons for the public to bet heavily on Dortmund this weekend - and that's just what the public will do. Freiburg has had a really rough start so far - they got eliminated in the Europa League against Domzale, they are 15th in the Bundesliga with one point out of two matches. They will have to replace two of their key pieces in the defense - Höfler (suspension) and Kempf (injury). Their striker Petersen is also questionable for Saturday.
Historically, Freiburg looked really bad against Dortmund the last few seasons. They lost the last 12 matches against Dortmund, with 5-38 total goals. Talking about Dortmund, they won their first two matches, are first in the league, are yet two receive a goal.
And Dortmund ML is at -220 in Freiburg. I'm sure Dortmund will be part of every parlay played in Germany and Europe.
After the national team break, I'm almost sure Dortmund will need some time to find themselves again. They still have some new players to integrate, also they have 2-3 starters that return from longer injuries. In my opinion, they are far away from the team they were under Tuchel and I expect it to show in the next couple of weeks. And they have a big game against Tottenham on deck, four days later. I would be surprised if they get a convincing victory, on the contrary. Even a Freiburg win is possible.

Frankfurt's team has the same qualities that their coach Nico Kovac has - he was never the best player strong but he is strong willed, aggressive and has a very high football IQ. And that's just how he designed his team, with the same kind of players and mentality. Kevin Prince Boateng as their latest upgrade is one example.
They were quite unlucky the first two games, at least three points should be in their bag. Kovac said it himself so they are far away from being in panic mode. They will do what they always do - defend well and discplined and look for chances on the counter. Gladbach at home looks like the perfect victim for it since they love to attack and play an entertaining, open football in front of their home crowd. Frankfurt has had quite some success in Gladbach in the last years - they won the semi final of the German cup last year after penalties. I predict a close game with the cleverer team to take home at least a point.
