Reports have leaked out of the executive offices of Bayern Munich that Messi has agreed to an offseason transfer to Bayern Munich. Although no final details were provided, the transfer amount is rumored to be in excess of $150 million. When pressed by media representatives, Bayern president Karl Heinz Rummineigger stated that he could not confirm or deny the blockbuster deal.
It is assumed that Pep Guardiola was instrumental in convincing Messi to make the move, although he will no longer be manager of the club once Messi arrives.
