I know, I know.. There's no way that Deportivo La Coruña can beat Atletico de Madrid and right about now, I seem a little bit crazy. Well, Depor sacked their manager a few days ago and Pepe Mel will make his debut at home vs the powerful AM.
What does that remind me of??

Just a few days ago, something didn't strike me right with Liverpool's "easy" line vs Leicester City, yet, like many of us here.. I convinced myself Liverpool was the better side, on a better run, with the better manager and there was no way they wouldn't take the win. 3 goals later, that's it, we're in this room now haha..
So, for the sake of my mental health, evading any possibles "what could've been" if Depor wins and I don't bet on them.. I am betting on them. Also, Depor only lost 1-0 @ the Vicente Calderon this season. Maybe, just maybe, they can squeak out a home win. After all, Depor has beat Eibar 2-1 (7th ranked) & Real Sociedad 5-1 (5th ranked & tied with points to Atletico Madrid) at home this year for their 2 "quality wins."
As far as the Sevilla game, which I obviously love, here's an interesting stat for you all:
In the last 6 games that Bilbao has lost as an away side (which by the way, they've lost 6 out of the last 7 away matches just drawing to nil vs Leganes in between), they've been down at half time. Only, surprise surprise, Real Madrid couldn't complete that feat. Last game first on this chart, full game score in parenthesis.
Apoel 1-0 (2-0) Valencia 2-0 (2-0) Barcelona 2-0 (3-0) Leganes 0-0 (0-0) Real Betis 1-0 (1-0) Real Madrid 1-1 (2-1) Genk 1-0 (2-0)
I believe they lose today to red-hot Sevilla and I believe they lose early. If my book offered TT Goals, I'd definitely play the under on Bilbao, but sadly, it doesn't offer them.
GL Mates!!

Kwangusbeef I like the Sevilla game over, but I don't like the Deportivo game. Even if Depor doesn't win, Atletico was only able to beat them 1-0 at home this year. I'm expecting this game to be along the same lines.. GL on your plays!

With Real Madrid getting a lucky draw yesterday Atletico and Sevilla need a big W today. GL Joga
I agree on Sevilla and that's part of why I love them to start out fast today at home.. However, Atletico's bid for La Liga seems to be done being down 12 points. Don't get me wrong, they're obviously capable of putting a beat down on Depor, but I just don't see the RM result as motivation for them.
BOL today Dogberto!

Joga You make some good points for Depor , but im locked into A. Madrid -1 already. Pool have been extremely average since 2017 started. Athletico Madrid are playing some of their best footie of the season right now. Depor will have to step it up today, while adjusting to a new manager and the system he is attempting to impose. Again, i like the analogy to Pool / Leicester. I couldnt agree more with your analysis.
BOL today Nice work to date

Franz Thanks for your words man and nice work yourself! Definitely one of the users here that I make a point to visit their threads daily. Yeah, I know what you're saying.. More than likely, we'll see Atletico beat them today, but I had to add something here in case it happened. If I didn't and they won like LC did, I'd be pulling my hair out haha.. Anyways, GL today with your plays! I'm good as long as Sevilla can hit!

Oh man.. I didn't want to jinx it by saying anything after that 1st half haha, but no jinxing was needed.. What a piece of goal by Griezmann..
Still, Deportivo had a couple of chances even after the equalizer that they really should've scored.. Oh well, hope Torres is ok by the way.. that looked awful!
