UH-OH. things gonna get interesting around here in February.
without further ado. I'll start the "festivities" - all in fun. (adjusting my Totty-signal to low frequency)
Looks like my boys got the creampuff
Serie A: after a crazy weekend where we saw all Top 4 teams held scoreless, from the fantasy league standoint..... I am absolutely thrilled I didnt lose ground with anyone else. the other Roma team now has a chance to gain points on ALL of them. (fyi, I said the SAME thing yesterday too )
Lazio/Torino BTTS + over 2.5 @evens - dont like the juice hung on the initial play (dont think this ends 1-1 anyways)
Lazio/Torino over 3.5 @+160 - eschewing the 'safety' of taking the '3'. Torino unbeaten in 6 straight, for some teams this is GREAT news; for others... this s*cks. Torino falls into the latter category as they have 4 draws in there and a european spot slipping far away. and theyve been doing it with defense (5 straight unders). Lazio has a golden chance to keep themselves "relevant" here and keep the table-top crowded. Aside from their season-opener, the BTTS has hit in 11 of Lazios past 13 matches. 3 goals have been hit in 6 of the past 8 H2H's and with both teams needing points badly I dont see the foot being taken off the pedal in 2nd half.
And one of the things Ive learned thru the years in that fantasy league is that in Serie A its is wise to choose strikers going up against their former team. the laundry list is pretty extensive already this year, with most recent last week as Higuain banged the lone goal home vs Napoli. and today we have Immobile whom actually won the goal-scoring title during his stay with Torino back in '14. since he arrived at Lazio hes scored in the last 2 H2H's and missed a PK in the 3rd. a good choice for goalscorer prop if anyone is interested.
for those superstitious types, these two played on this very same field last year on a Monday night as well which Romans squad won 3-1.
hoping for a repeat but the way yesterday went, i wouldnt be all too suprised if the 4th goal in the 93rd mintues gets overturned by VAR.
Switz:
Schauff -1.5 @+165
Schauff/Wil over 3 @+110 - 8 of the last 9 H2H's have hit this number. statistically, home side is one of the best in the league in scoring at home and theyve scored 2+ in 6 of their 8 matches here. though they lost 2 straight here (which is one of the reasons I like this), they played #1 & #2 in the table. and now they get the bottom of the barrel whom are winless on the road and have scored just 5 times in 8 matches.

Specimen... I've seen this before comes to mind this week... Two sat matches draw, the early sun match draws, followed by another couple draws later on..I don't believe the draws are done for this round.. Taking the final two matches to draw seems a profitable angle to myself.
Lots of times a team who draws too many in a season..such as Torino.. Signals a good season on the horizon. I believe this may be true for Torino next season.. Man United this season and Napoli a couple of seasons back come to mind.
on all your plays.

Bubba yeah, but i had Torino as a longshot to nab that 4th euro slot next year. when Belotti when down, so di their season.
by the way...... question for you......... Napoli gonna take Europa seriously you think? you probably know as well as I do that Serie A teams dont take this all too seriously..... even the Coppa is rated slightly higher. but with books hanging a +900 on them and getting Millik back after break, thats one hell of a cushion to hedge with to just get to the semis. people forgot JUST HOW GOOD this team was towards the latter stages of the season last year.
Lejoker as always.

I believe our President made clear with his resting players in Champs League comment.. That Serie A is priority.. Naples want the scudetto.. And if my thoughts reflect the majority of our fans. I would sacrifice all for that one trophy...
Definitely changes will be made for Europa League matches...but the talent level is still high... Capable of winning.
I want to say.. No.. They won't take it serious.. But if they get through to semis.. And title is slipping.. I believe they regroup and take a shot.

I got Napoli at +1200 and Dortmund at +1100(Bet365)...
Can't argue at those prices...
A.Madrid don't appeal to me... Arsenal(all EPL teams) need to keep Europa as a legit path to Champs League b/c of the competition in the upper echelon of the league... Their defending does not really appeal to me... Curious to see how Sporting progress... At +2500 interesting.

I know Atalanta will take it serious..since they have already tipped their hand in group stage..and I want to believe Lazio will also put forth a good effort..sitting fifth in league before today..another Champs League entry possibility can't hurt.
Neither team really appeal to me at this moment.

Bubba. tks. appreciate ur taking the time. yeah, that "old-school" mentality reared its ugly head again.
the ONLY thing i hate about taking any EPL team in Europe is the fact they beat the living cr*p out of each other week-in & week-out. top to bottom.... strongest league on the planet.
Dort & Napoli were my two VERY FIRST thoughts when the CL dust cleared. both have suffered thru injury crisis. so its just a matter of how serious they take it.
"......And title is slipping.. I believe they regroup and take a shot." spot on. thats an angle I look at. holds especially true with spain & portugal squads
good discussion.

didnt see the last comment. Atalanta played a "meaningless" 6th round match in front of a packed house with a full lineup. motivation is there but dunno if they can win 2 legs vs those spanish squads.

Settle pardon. didnt see this till recently. for what its worth, my answer would have been the same, even the 2.5 was still easily attainable. tho' it was 0-0 and Immobile had that bogus red card. both had plenty of chances and were literally running back-n-forth
Raider as always. tks.
got an interesting Coppa match tmrw

Spec - no worries my man. I grabbed the over 1.5 based on what you noted. Game was back and forth, a few posts were dinged, and of course the loss of a man. I likely wouldn’t have played had it not been for your writeup. Thanks buddy
