Sat/Sun plays (Serie A, Sandwiches, others)......

Serie A: late post as no time earlier, just going to toss everything up here. Covid is wrecking lineups and not to mention a few other things.

Bologna/Cagliari - hit the biggie last wknd with Cagliari, now going against them. they havent won here in past 8 visits (being mindful that 3 ended level). and Bolognas streak of conceding continues so that one is the 'auto-play', besides Bologna missing 2 in the back. books have caught on, btts is juiced to the moon so lets hope somebody wins. btts + over 2.5 @-120

Crotone/Atalanta - Sandwich spot. chr*st I hope that one loses though, but Atalanta have lost 2 straight & Crotone themselves got booted from Coppa midweek with their full team. so that might "even things out" a little. however, Klopp & Co paying a visit to Bergamo midweek, i would not advise touching Atalanta on the HC this weekend.

Inter/Parma - Inter/Conte are in a really bad shape. Lautaro out of form missing "easy ones", Sanchez injured, Luk on treatment table & Eriksen looks lost in the shuffle. best to wait till they get some 'w' before backing them; especially with that biggie in Bernabeu coming up. PASS.

Sunday:
Napoli/Sassuolo - 2nd vs 3rd. Gattuso had pretty much his full strength side in Spain for the 2nd half on Thursday. but they barely moved around out there and simply sat back and protected the lead. Sassuolo got hit with 3 more Covid cases, and they havent really played anyone yet. To make matters worse is that Napoli havent lost to these guys in 10 straight (7w, 3d). but Sassuolo are unbeaten this season and their bombs away approach is FUN to watch. made a "mistake" in my thread the other night about how this would be a 'barnburner', my difinition of that is that it would be a great game (2nd vs 3rd in table) forgot there was another reference to that word. regardig the goals, the 2.5s are near 300s; just an fyi in that the past 6 meetings ALL hae stayed under the number. but I like Gattusos boys in this spot; tho under a different circumstance, they blew away an Atalanta squad who plays a similar style. Napoli -1 @-120

Sampdoria/Genoa - "Derby delle Lanterna". two heading in opposite directions. Samp rolling after slow start and Quag on fire. Genoa winless and cleansheeted 3 straight. tho its a city derby, taking Samp here @-102, and tossing some on the -1 @+175

Udinese/Milan - been "in-tune" all season long, here comes another. even before the lines came out & before Milans UEL match finished I felt this is where they drop points. Milan unbeaten & sitting at the top; played Roma on Monday and won with ease Thurs @home in UEL, Milan is actually riding a 27 game unbeaten run since last year. going up against a team whom are in relegation zone and cant keep anyone out of net. but Udinese have pretty decent record @home vs them (7W,2D,3L) and with Pioli rotating once again this looks like a nice spot. Udinese +1/2 @+120

Spezia/Juventus - Sandwich spot. cazzo!!!! well, we get Christian back (im pretty sure he will get subbed in), and getting healthier again as Giorgio cleared, DeLigt almost there along with 4-5 others. unsure if Pirlo plans to start everyone tho, especially with the trip to Hungary. Spezia are actually very offensive minded under Italiano, one of the several clubs in the lower half whom arent scared to attack. been yakking to no end since last year regarding the importance of Giorgio to our team, when he starts? we have our only 2 cleansheets this season. when he isnt in there? well, you DID see the Barca match didnt you? if you have cajones take the btts at a tasty evens. got to wait to see what Pirlo does though. vs creampuffs, Juventus has developed this annoying ****-ing habit of not taking our skirts off till 2nd half and/or fall behind. have held a halftime lead just two times in the 6 matches. fell behind vs Crotone in recent sandwich too. hope we win 12-0 tho.

Torino/Lazio - Sandwich. Lazio - at the time typing - still trying to get match postponed due to Covid outbreaak. honestly dont know why Toro isnt juiced here. Immobile out again, as well as several others, and they have a biggie up in Russia in a few days anyways.

Roma/Fiorentina - both sides cant keep anybody out of the net, both have averaged 4+ per match. this is literally Romas 3rd match in 6 days, and Fonseca still plays with 3 in the back. they just put up a clunker in the 0-0 UEL draw few days ago. Fior gets Ribery back for this one but that backline is a mess lately with several missings. 7 of the past 10 H2H have hit this number as well as 5 of the past 6 here @Olimpico. time to get the hammer out for this one, Roma/Fiorentina over 3 @-115. and toss some on the 3.5 @+125.

bunch of buddies on these, decided to hop along for the ride. took a hard look at the mid-tier UCL clubs @home(Salzburg/Ajax/Rennes/Brugge whom dont have deep benches; they ALL have pts in UCL so the mid-week matches are huge. even if they DO use regulars on the wknd most likely wont go 100%. narrow wins and getting the 3 pts is the name of the game (hopefully). @ '+' money? worth a shot.

nasty, nasty, nasty spots for some of these clubs. personally, I think someone in the UEFA offices should get fired for scheduling 3 consecutive weeks of this thing. but its a Euro-season, so theres a priority to get everything tidy & done with time to spare. normally its worth mentioning, but practically EVERYBODY is playing in that dreaded 3-in 7 days, 4-in 10, crammed-like-sardines schedules.  (and judging from some of the efforts I saw certain clubs put in to secure points in Round 2 midweek the priority still there apparently (for now)... even took a sot at  some of the HOME teams this coming wknd too). i mean, cant empty stadiums hurt the "big" clubs.

Mechelen is riddled with covid, 7 starters are in quarantine, some bench players infected as well and a few others are out injured, they almost cancelled the game and Mechelen is livid the federation is making them play. I think I might take Brugge TT somehow.

Brutal with Venezia, my book voided my bet with the 2-0 lead and match suspension due to fog.  Not sure if any books would have treated this differently than mine did

yoro, tho its 'frowned up' in here, I honestly DID make a play on Parma (draw & outrights) at last minute once found out Contes lineup yeah, hit the draw so should be happy about it, but that was a 400 swing right there in the 92nd, would have set me 'straight & proper' for sunday. (to be fair, I actually faded Real & Pool too for same reasons as stated above) apparently, that was just the "warm-up" for what was coming. even Pool joins the festivities & bangs in a late one.

Ganda (#2) off topic. Covid. try being in a Fantasy league. and getting an 11 man roster set weekly. and its not just the roster-absences. too much of a variable. I wont be suprised if some of the UCLs get postponed with several countries in(heading towards) lockdown now.
Lego, pretty good weekend, futbol-aside. spent all day sunday making heaps of my "world famous"() Risotto. plus piles of Gnocchi for friends/family and members of local hospital staff whom deserve it more than anyone. actually watched Juve match with knife in hand... fyi.... the Wknds "Award" belongs to Torino:   not only blows a 94th minute lead, they LOST outright, and that was a sandwich spot too

dream/alfha/dukes Venezia match was suspended due to fog. this is what happens when you live in a city (Venice) filled with H2O. the field itself is on the water, if memory serves me right theres boating dock/pier right behind it.  when that fog rolls in you cant see 10 metres in front of you.
