US eliminated during WC Selection Show:

2 teams would be interesting if they end up playing brazil....france there old nemesis...beat them in 98 final...and upset them in 2006...and the 2006 brazil team was supposivly the best brazil team ever and was thought to be a shoe in for the winner that year...remember the beautiful football commercials that whole tournament....and roberto carlos saying they should just give us the trophy now at the start of the tournament comment...another great game would be with uruguay the team that beat them in the 1950 final in brazil...can history repeat itself.....2 teams that brazil rather not face

Who knows, maybe US beats Ghana. Then Cristiano Ronaldo plays poorly against US and Germany but the Portuguese beat Ghana.
then USA and Germany play a "meaningless game" and walk through the group.

well that&#x27;s a shame, it was great to see those shots from the last world cup of bars in places you&#x27;d never think of being soccer places erupting when donovan scorednot going to happen this summer with that drawengland got a short straw as well

Not only toughest group play, but I read they  have one of the worst travel schedules in Group Play.   Something like 1.5k miles between each of the three sites.

It is tough group, but USA has chances, no doubt. Ghana can be beaten, Portugal depends all on Ronaldo, and Germany will be US last game. By then Germany, probably, will have already six points and will not play for anything really. Win against Ghana and draws against Portugal and Germany will get US through. US has quite good team. FIFA ranked ~15 out of 250 nations that&#x27;s not bad! That&#x27;s top 10% !! Even better! It&#x27;s a A team! Maybe not A&#x2B;, but, great team! And traveling is bogus. All other teams will travel! Besides, teams have three, four days off between games! Plenty of time!!

group is tough, but dont write the usa off yet. klins got those boys playing well. and anything can happen in the cup. winning game 1 is a must though. ghana no scare me, the ronaldos dont scare me, but germany does.
