First and foremost, Happy Easter everyone.
Made a little money yesterday, and liking a few picks this afternoon:
Atlanta 1.25 - Heavy chalk but Jurrjens should be able to handle the Nats at home; Chipper owns Olsen batting .571 in 21 AB's
NY Mets 1.60 - In what could be a great pitching match-up, I think there is some value with Santana who'se 10-0 with a 2.07 era in his last 18 starts.
Cleveland 1.65 - Tough to go against the Jays right now, but have a tough time seeing the Indians get swept at home to go 0-6 to start the season. David Purcey had some problems with control in his first start, and might get hit hard today. Reyes should be able to give the Indians enough innings to give their AAA bullpen a rest.
Philadelphia (MLB) 2.00 - In what should be another high scoring game, I'll take the Phillies hot bats and the great value. All of the Phillies big bats have .300+ career numbers against Cook who got hammered in his first start of the year.
Philadelphia (NHL) 1.65 - NYR have the 7th seed wrapped up andhave nothing to play for and should rest some starters. Philly is playing for home ice advantage and the 4 seed.
Chicago (MLB) 1.50 - Can't believe that Jeff Suppan is still a starting pitcher? His 85 mph fastball doesn't cut it, and Fonso and crew should hit him hard. Dempster goes for the Cubs.
Going to play 2 tickets... will confirm the plays later.
Good Luck!
