I"to like to first state that my intentions for this thread are to make roughly 100+ picks over the NFL & CFL seasons and end up better than 62.5% avg. I'll be using the ALC point spread.
In the CFL I like Calgary tonight as 2.5 fav's, Sask had a disasterous game against the Bombers last week and major personel changes were made. The 13th man could play a factor as Burris is often taunted by the home crowd. Regardless, Stamps see to do no wrong this year I see the same for tonight. Take the Stamps @ -2.5. The other game i like is the Peg in TO, Major injures will keep the Argos struggling. I like Lemon but I don't think he's quite there yet. Bombers @ +0.5
Other considerations, Als @ -11.5, with Cavillo at the helm I'd probably bite but with Mac|P I'll leave this one alone.
In the NFL I'm going with my early leans taking the Ravens @ -2.5. Too much firepower here and see alot of intimidation against TO and 85. Primadonnas I'm not sure but I\m guessing that the Ravens gets in there heads. Taking the Falcons @ -6.5 in the other game, big things expected here, just can't see them going 0-2.
Other considerations NYJ @ +2.5, the public all over the Pats, and i don't ;understand it. I know I know the MNF game was a poor showing. But I fully expect much better from the Jets. I also llike the Cowboys but I think the line is too high.@ -7.5, I'd be more comfortable around 4.5 to 6

Decent looking card cmac29, i'll chime in on NFL tomorrow after some more research.
Hate to be on the same action as everyone else, but Calgary is the right play. Saskatchewan has too many question marks coming off their last two offensive performances (scoring 27 and 2 points). Bombers "vanilla" offense moved the ball up and down the field with ease, how can the Green Riders possibly stop the Stamps who are better in all facets of the offense. Stamps ran a muck over the Riders earlier this year 40-20, and although I expect Sask to play better football, Stamps are the better team only laying 3. Definitely the right play.

I'm going with the Patriots by a field goal, I don't think the Jets will have an answer for Welker and Sanchez will fizzle trying to play catchup. Won't be surprised if Revis comes up lame with his hamstring.

All the sharps are talking Jets, but I don't see it at all. No Kris Jenkins in the middle will alleviate some pressure upfront, and the weak side corner and DB (Cromartie & rookie, Kyle Wilson) had all kinds of problems in man coverage last week and now see a savvy Tom Brady and co. coming to town. Sanchez isn't worth the tubs of hair jell he goes through on a weekly basis.

...definitely a learning curve for us here...the biggest lesson of the weekend for me - Cowboys and Romo suck and will be 0-3 after they meet the Texans next weekend.
...and seriously, how bad are the Pats gonna' beat the Bills in week 3?

Well at least I had one right. Better things to come. The Ravens/Bengals game was a bust, Bengals basically stole the game, some very questionable calls against the Ravens. How many times will Lions come close to an outright victory. I had use the cliche they're overdue but...... Cowboys just plain suck, for a team that deep in talent ?????
Best CFl game was the first one, didn't expect such a high scoring tilit, was Ken Miller trippin with last secord punt. Good thing they won in OT otherwise his balls wiould be somebodys bookends this moring. Lions snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, at one time you could actually see steam coming out of Buono's head. I did my best from falling into a complete paralytic state of unconsiousness after watching the Bombers/Argos tilt. Man what a snooze feast. The last thing I heard was that Cavillo was starting the next game not yesterdays game otherwise I would taken the Als at home. Wow do the Esks suck. Perhaps if they stopped starting Ray maybe things might be closer.
