Figured I'd post my plays for tonight to try and improve my luck, so here goes:
Washington Capitals @ Montreal Canadiens: Over 6.5 @ 2.10
First of all, those odds are insane (6.5 has usually been set at 1.60 or 1.80, not 2.10). Second, while only 2 of the 5 games in this series have gone 'Over', Games 3 and 4 in Montreal hit 6 and 9, and Game 1 just missed (3-2 Montreal). And last, but not least, Washington only scored ONE goal last game. Do you honestly believe the Caps aren't going to come out with guns blazing to try and avoid a game 7? They've already shown they can beat Jaroslav Halak and they're more likely to do it in a Game 6 (where you can still play a little loose knowing you have the series lead) than in a Game 7. I can't see this being anything other than a 5-2 or 4-3 win for the Caps.
Buffalo Sabres @ Boston Bruins: Over 4.5 @ 1.60
Okay, maybe this is just one of those "fishy" lines you hear so much about, but how can you not take the over in this one? At 5.5, I probably wouldn't pull the trigger, but 4.5 is a far different story. This series has seen totals of 8, 5 and 5 with the other two being 2-1 finals - it's not like we've had a bunch of 1-0 OT wins. Ryan Miller has shown he can be beaten. Tuuka Rask has shown he can be beaten. At 2 goals a piece and at this price, you almost have no choice but to take a shot.
Boston Red Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays: Over 8.5 @ 1.60
Okay, so this is the one where I'm setting myself up for a fall because my last 3 Pro-Line losses have all been thanks to the Blue Jays (including yesterday when I would've cashed in HUGE had they been able to beat David Price - I had Phoenix, Baltimore, Chicago and Toronto), but the numbers are just too hard to overlook. Josh Beckett is not pitching well at all (1-0, 5.26) and his numbers against Toronto are just brutal (3-5, 6.62). Dana Eveland has been pitching well (2-0, 1.93), but his numbers against Boston (0-2, 9.1 IP, 22 H, 18 R !!!!!) are unreal and, let's face it, he's not that good a pitcher to begin with (Career 15-17, 5.31 ERA). At 9.5 I might be a little reluctant, but 8.5 is more than do-able (4 runs each) especially since both teams are hitting half decent as of late as well.
MAX BET X 5.38 = $538
Good luck everyone!
