Why do we waste our time playing this contest? I know it's a FREE contest, but the odds are ASTRONOMICAL if you take a total or a pick em game everytime during your streak. One hundred thousand would be a great score, but 33 million minus the juice would be life changing for you and your family.

You are partially right: if you are flipping a coin to make your picks, than the odds of you winning is 33 million to one. BUT if you are flipping a coin to make your picks, you are definitely on the wrong website.
Now lets take someone that handicaps, not a professional, mind you, let's take member PlayAction92MW. That guy came in second in our most recent Ultimate Race. During the race he handicapped at ~70% (he doesn't flip coins). That guys odds of winning are 1/7456. Now Covers gives him a chance to start a streak every single day, so the absolute worst case, it takes him 20 years to win $100,000.
20 years! I can't wait that long! Slow down, lazy coin flipper. During that time, it is estimated that he will win $1,000 17 times over that same 20 years. He also is going to win $25,000 4 times. That means PlayAction92MW is making an extra $10,000 per year over the course of 20 years.
Now think about if he goes on that run this year.
My advice to you is bet better bettor

Ultimate race is a bad example, because with hockey and baseball money lines, you can take favorites as high as 150. That's a HUGE advantage and your odds are a lot better than a coin flip picking those heavy favorites.

R u serious in your predictions of PlayAction92MW? He has been a member since June 2008, and he has a 51.86 % winning pct!! You think that he is going to average 10,000 dollars a year in winnings for the next 20 years. That is laughable since in his time on streak survivor contest, all he has won is a hat. I got a bridge to sell you mr. Covers marketing.

Any advice from the non coin flippers??? I am relatively new at this contest and roughly avg 1W for 2L. In my eyes that is pathetic, were do you gain a slight advantage?? Just curious

Not true monopoly---the cut-off is -130 in hockey or baseball --- the very odd exception is to catch one early and the line moves very fast making a game appear to go at around - or + 150. Moreover, most even adequate 'cappers are well over more right han wrong and the good ones are, as yisman points out, over 55,56.57%, and it is free so who cares? If you want to make s then bet money not play free contests and whine 'cause you do not win---ever buy a lottery ticket?

I have a 57.94 winning percentage. Yisman is excellent at 56.93%. No one on Streak Survivor who has played as many games as I has a higher winning percentage than 57.94.
