We kind of miss the wagerline babettes. But seriously, now that you're in the elite (the average person making daily survivor bets would only get to 18 wins in a row once every 1,500 years), can you fill we the benchwarmers in on what's happening?
- How did they get your photo?
- Does a photo shoot take place at your house?
- If so, does an Ed McMahon guy show up with a big fake check? Or is it more like the Goodfellas? Do the Wagerline babettes come along for these?
- Did you already get the check for $1,000? Is the IRS already informed?
- Are you going to do some big time fading of your own picks to guarantee some cash?
- Are you taking any advice (a look around at the forum writers' records would definitely say that a flip of a coin is just as good)?
- The only serious question: how did you go about winning 68 % of your college picks from March on? Have you got a system at work?

Huh? Which question implied a conspiracy?
A good trend based system could reasonably get a 68 % clip over a shorter period of around 62 games - no conspiracy theory intended. Just curious if the guy's playing hunches or is somehow numbers based. As a numbers guy myself, it would be reassuring to see something like this possible.

Yes biff, was workin on a little system at the end of the year. Its based mainly off of FG%. I throw in the normal stuff too (trends, past matchups, injuries, etc.). It was in the "testing" phase since I just came up with it, so I didn't post any picks in the forum.
Word of advice -- if you do win something and you send in a picture, try finding a picture without a BLACK background. Apparently the black background makes you look like you have spray-painted on black hair after they photo-shop it in!

freight, I guess its smart to keep doing what youre doing, but...has any professional offered his assistance? Have you been contacted by any media types for interviews etc.?
I just want you to know I'm in your corner and pulling HARD for you. I've been tailing a guy on NBA picks thats REALLY good. I dissected his picks in his office pool. He was like 73% when picking Road Dogs over the last SEVERAL weeks. I like finding good cappers and then totally break down their numbers/picks and then try and go w/ the cream of the crop. His name is ups_drvr.
P.S. Put some sweat into this! It might feel crazy studying a potential pick for 2 or 3 hrs but when you figure up how much you might be making per hr...

Try it out. Assuming you win half the time, here's your chance of being in each streak on any given day:
1 out of every 2 days: 0 game winning streak (you just lost)
1 out of every 4 days: 1 game winning streak
1 out of every 8 days: 2 game winning streak
And so on, until:
1 day out of every 1.5 years (512 days): 8 game winning streak
And then keep doubling the time periods on and on further until:
1 day out of every 1,436 years: 18 game winning streak <------- THERE IT IS, olinz
1 day out of every 2,872 years: 19 game winning streak
1 day out of every 5,750 years: 20 game winning streak
And to wake up one day and find yourself a winner of the $100,000: 1 day out of 11,491 years.
Now it all sounds very dismal, except that there are probably 5,000 people who are entered continuously (actually I have no idea, but I say that for argument), therefore someone (and maybe YOU, FreightDog) is going to win it once every 2-3 years. Which makes it a fun little contest that gives you a better chance of winning the big prize than the lottery in your local state at an infinitely lower dollar price.
Want another quick reality check? Wagerline will send you 4,100 hats before you cash your first $100,000 check, on the average. You also will have collected one jacket for every day of the non-summer months (around 250 of those bad boys) by the time you're winning the $100K. Maybe if the hats are worth $10 apiece, you'll already have $50 K.
Keep trying though, the more people that enter, the better the chance that someone like FreightDog gets to the doorstep, which kind of keeps this whole thing interesting.

Thanks for the explanation.I guess the math you gave is fairly accurate, considering the longest streak I've ever had personally in 3-4 years is 7(haven't even ever got to 8 yet)||sad.gif' border=0>
Also, there has only been one winner that I know of ever,so your stats might be optimistic,in a sense.
You know, the funny thing is,I tell people about this contest, and they say 'hey,I can do that;it ain't no big deal'||an_roll_laugh.gif' border=0>I guess it's like facing a 95 mph fastball;you think 'it ain't no big deal',until you get to the plate and try to hit it.
So thanks again, and who knows who the lucky person might be||an_cheers.gif' border=0>
