I should be 2-1 instead of 1-2. I wanted to pick pirates yesterday and they had game up there but once I picked it stupid covers says sorry due to consensus you can't pick matchup. Let people pick whatever they want. 1 thing to have consensus and not let someone pick something if there approaching W21 or W25 1 of the major streaks. But when someone is on a losing streak. Let them pick whatever they want. This game is hard enough.

Then you should have chosen the other team or the total.  Or you could have waited to see if the consensus shifted.  If it's THAT important to you, you need to learn how to play the game.

Why would you worry about getting in a play on a total for a baseball game Friday night when you have until Wednesday to make a play? NO total on ANY baseball game should you be worried about with 5 days left to pick from....c'mon man!

I agree with the op, any game being played should be allowed to be picked for anyone and regardless of what there streak is up to. Fairness.

Maybe the game is insured similar to a hole in one contest and the insurance company has a clause that too many can not pick the same team because that would increase their risk of several winning the big money.They might feel that if that many pick it it is a bad line. Just a wild guess.

Sometimes you can get the pick to go through by attempting it multiple times, which was already mentioned.  However, there's also the method I've used of going to the scores and matchups under say MLB or NFL and clicking on the matchup link.  Then it brings up a pink box with the selections and it's hit or miss but it might go through for you when submit it even if the consensus is too high.

I was trying to pick a -104 mlb line the other day and gave me the same crap (concensus) - I don't care really - I ended up skipping the day. In fairness, if the pick can't be made, it shouldn't be up. Alternatively, if you can't make the pick, I agree that you should just move on or skip the day. Not worth complaining because it won't change (hasn't all these years). And also you won't have to deal with the dumb behind comments by the fools waiting to troll your thread...

Yeah, I'll admit being foolish to have bothered to reply to yisman.  Would have figured they understood what the basic terminology for internet comment boards would be.  FYI, person, "opening a thread" means you "started, or opened, the thread."  Thus, BPD72 is the one who opened the thread.  I merely wandered into it to explain how stupid you freaking whiners look to the rest of the crowd.
