Rizzo or BobbyDaveccio or someone from wagerline help on this issue. ||paint_help.gif' border=0> Ribeater, no rule was broken. This nutty guy Spocsstocks is making a big issue of it. I'm still trying to figure out where you can read the rules. This is how I understand it to be. DP is taking his time, he wants to get to 21 obviously. He picks college, and waiting 7 days to make a pick. You have 7 days to make a pick or your streak resets to "0". For example, you make a pick today, Saturday, you have until next Saturday to make that pick. It doesn't matter if you pick the game at 5AM or noon. It doesn't give a specific time. you just need to have a pick in by the following day. I.E you pick on 9/23 , today, you need a pick in by 9/30... Someone claimed if it was in by Noon Eastern or 24 exact hours.. all rubbish.. I hope this helps you Ribeater and if I am wrong ,please anyone from wagerline clarify this rule once and for all as there has been 40 posts just on this topic today at least ughhhhhh

SURVIVOR RULES
SURVIVOR IS SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, A COPY OF WHICH IS AVAILABLE BY CLICKING HERE, AND TO THE RULES BELOW. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND, IN PART, ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRANTS.
Survivor is easy and fun and costs nothing to play, but make sure you read and understand the following rules before playing, particularly the section about claiming prizes. The Survivor game is scored automatically to eliminate human error, and all rules are strictly followed and enforced for all players.
You can pick any game available on the Survivor board. Select the game that is, in your opinion, the most likely winner on the board. Games with lines or point spreads (football and basketball) are nearly always available for selection. Games with money lines (baseball and hockey) are only listed if there is not an overwhelming favorite in the game.
You are limited to one pick per day.
You are limited to one user name when playing Survivor. If a person is entering Survivor picks using more than one user name, that person is deemed not eligible to win any prizes.
The user who signs up the user name is the only person eligible to win a prize, even if other persons log-in under the user name and make picks.
Your score increases by 1 when you win your pick. If you lose your pick, your score is reset to 0. If your pick pushes (a tie), your score will not change.
If a game that you picked is postponed, cancelled, or removed from the board for any reason (for example, a baseball game that is rained out), your pick will be automatically changed from pending to a push the next day (usually before noon). You can then enter another pick and continue with your streak. If this happens, be patient. There is no reason to send an email to Wagerline, the problem will take care of itself the next day.
If you fail to make a pick in 7 days, your score is reset to 0. For instance, if you win a game played on Wednesday, you must pick another game played on or before the following Wednesday.
The Survivor game is an ongoing competition. You can enter at any time. When your winning streak ends, you can immediately make another pick and try to start a new streak.
Only 1 Survivor Grand Prize of $100,000 will be awarded per calendar year. For example: one
$100,000 winner in 2006, one $100,000 in 2007, etc.. When the grand prize is won during the year the grand prize value is reset to $10,000 and will remain at $10,000 until the end of the year. When a new calendar year begins, the prize value will once again be set to $100,000.
In the event of two or more contestestant winning the contest at the same time the prize will shared equally among the winning parties.
To be eligible to receive prizes, entrants must be legal residents of the United States or Canada, 18 years of age or older (if the age of majority in a jurisdiction is different than 18, you must be the age of majority within your jurisdiction to be eligible to receive a prize) with a valid internet e-mail address. Any and all contests and promotions offered by SportsDirect Inc. are void in all United States’ territories (e.g. Guam and Puerto Rico), and the Province of Quebec, and where prohibited by law. If a Canadian resident is deemed eligible to win a prize, in order to be awarded such prize, the Canadian resident will be required to correctly answer a time limited mathematical skill question. Eligibility, age, and all claims made by winners are subject to verification. Merchandise prizes for US-resident winners will be shipped to your home address only (no P.O. Boxes). Electronic prizes for winners in the US will be shipped to your street address (no P.O. Boxes) via the nearest Best Buy store. No merchandise prizes will be shipped across international borders. Canadian and Mexican winners of electronic prizes will be contacted and suitable arrangements made to ensure they receive a similar prize. Cash prizes will be sent anywhere in North America.
How to Claim Prizes
When you win a Survivor prize, an automatic email will be sent to you the next day asking for address verification. You must respond to this email within 5 days to claim your prize. If you ignore the email, no prize will be sent. After you respond, the prize will be sent via UPS ground.
If you provide us with any incorrect information, you forfeit any prize. If you do not receive the prize notification via email, it is nearly always due to one of two reasons - either you did not enter your mailing address when you registered on Wagerline, or the email address you used when registering has been changed. Prizes cannot be sent to players who did not supply us with a mailing address, and we make no attempt to track down players with invalid email addresses. You are responsible to check your account information and make sure it is correct.
Hats and jackets are sent UPS ground, so make sure your mailing address can receive a UPS delivery (no P.O. boxes) Due to recent problems with customs and due to the high cost of delivery, hats and jackets are sent to winners in the United States only. This means that we do not send hats or jackets to Canada or Mexico.
All players are limited to winning 2 hats and 2 jackets per year.
You must verify that you are at least 18 years old to be eligible for any prize.

It's very simple.
It's within the following 7 days after extending your streak you need to get a pick in - or your streak will be reset to zero. On that 7th day ... it has nothing to do with game time....any pick on the last day can be made, as stated in the rules.
The rule is indeed NOT 'a pick must be made within 168 hours of the start time of your last pick' which is what spocstocks is suggesting the rule is...which it is NOT.
There is no debate here - the rules are clear.

HOW DO YOU WIN. DOES THIS CONTEST GO TO THE END OF THE YEAR? HOW MANY WINS IN A ROW DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO WIN THE 100,000. ARE THERE SECOND PRIZES. HOW MANY WINS IN A ROW DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO WIN THE GRAND PRIZE OR A PRIZE. IS THERE A DEADLINE SET OR HOW MANY WINS IN A ROW YOU NEED. I READ THE RULES. IT DOES NOT EXPLAIN MUCH.
CAN YOU EXPLAIN.

Thanks Rizzo,
Stay cool LOL!!!! That is what I thought it to be all along. I don't get why spocsstocks made a big fuss and was clearly WRONG. thanks again so everyone can know and not have anymore issues. It is clear. I hate the NFL LOL. Now I know why. DP is smart in picking only college. JAX missed by 1/2 point for me today and my modest streak ended... oh boy, starting over...||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>||an_cry.gif' border=0>

Well I got hosed on the 7 day rule, made a pick on a thursday, so I had to pick a game by the next thursday, right? Well I go to pick a game in the morning but i didn't like the line so I thought I'd wait a few hours to see if it moved, so I go back on a few hours later and I was reset to zero, same day I had to have the pick in, only a few hours after and it was reset. So even though there is nothing about times it gives them a way to reset your picks anytime on that 7th day. Not a huge deal because it was only 7 straight but if I was at 20 like DP is I'd be going over the fine print with a lawyer tooth comb. If he made a pick last saturday let's say at 10 am then technically this saturday at 10 am could be considered 7 days if the rules don't actually state a specified time on the seventh day. Well if he doesn't like the game lines that early maybe he'd want to make his pick say at noon? If they wanted to be dicks they could reset his score and say it was past 7 days according to the rules and save the 100 g's.

You guys are halarious, david patrick's next game must play on Saturday. What time the game is doesn't matter, as long as it's played on Saturday.
This is stated in the rules, his next game must play within 7 full days of his last play.

I get the point of the rule, so why was mine available to pick in the morning on the 7th day but not in the afternoon when i went back to pick it?? Like i said it's not a big deal because I was only at 7, but why was it reset before the end of the 7th day???
I picked a game on thrusday sept. 14, 06
By what is said i have until the end of thursday sept 21, 06 to make a pick? is that correct?
i went on in the morning to pick the Georgia Tech game on thursday sept. 21. I had the option to pick it in the morning, I didn't like the line at the time so I waited until the afternoon to make a pick, by then it was reset.
Rizzo just stated the 7 day rule, if a pick was made last saturday, i have til the end of this saturday, as long as the pick is made on tha saturday. So why are thursdays any different???
So whats hilarious? We know what the rule says but by from what I've read in some of the other posts it seems like it can go either way really.
In my case who cares if it was reset according to how most of us consider what a day actually is, but I'm sure if DP's was reset like mine was before the end of the day the lawsuit to follow would cost way more than the prize money, so if it means bending the rules for the lead guy why not, avoid a lawsuit and hope he misses the pick.
Best of luck to him though, hopefully they don't piss in his ear and tell him it's raining by pulling some technicality on what is considered to be a day and when that said day ends.

Here's another question? Let's say DP does win the $100,000. The rules state it's $100,000 per calendar year? After that it goes back to $10,000 for the remainder of the calendar year.
What if let's say you build up to 20 in a row, and you nail the 21st on January 1st on one of the New Year's bowl games. That would be a New Calendar year, correct? Even though I made 20 picks in the previous calendar year, the clincher was in 2007.
Not that it's going to happen, but it's nice to dream! After the falcons win tonight I'm only 15 away from 21!

Rudy, the same thing happened to me a few years ago with a minor win streak(maybe 4 straight wins), albeit "different ownership" of this site. I was picking the midnight WAC CBB game on the day of my deadline, and they technically considered the game starting the following morning I guess. But they had it up with that regular day's card. I trust noone till I see the money, but I do think this new ownership will do the right thing if Davy Boy hits # Blackjack.

Wizard, sorry to hear it happened to you too, I just want them to tell me why it was reset before the end of the day if time doesn't have anything to do with it?
