Las year I was trying to understand sabermetrics, but gave it up... This year im trying again, but won't give up. But, I struggle to set up my own formula as I belive the standard BaseRuns formula that is on Wiki is to simple. I'v been reading on tangotiger, but it's realy heavy stuff for me and even though I found a list of values I don't understand how I use it to set up a formula....

Hope for some help as I realy think BaseRuns -- even though it might not give the correct score, it gives you some help to predict the winner/total...

TheMystery, the thread right here in Systems&Strategies entitled "MLB system releases" by sports_Network is without a doubt the best baseball handicapping thread dedicated to the connection of saber metrics (base runs) to MLB wagering. sports_Network goes in-depth into the work of Tom Tango, and others, the best I have ever read on successful MLB handicapping. bottom line; a very advanced thread that goes deep into the concepts of sabermetrician approach to baseball stats; definitely not for the in-experience capper without at least four seasons of mlb cappin' under his belt..best of luck in your quest, interesting thread
