It seems to me that with only a few possessions available in the first quarter of a game, the odds have to be in favor of taking the points. Even a large dog comes out of the gate strong.
I am going to do the research on this. But even if the spread is +1/2 a point, the value is there in a 0-0 tie, 3-3, 7-7, etc.
I'm sure there is not a winning way for this or Vegas would have adjusted, but I'm curious to see if it hits anything above 50%
