If a team has either 1 over/under or 1 ATS win/loss going into week 9 -start a 4 game chase to hit the 2nd. Every team on average finishes with 5 to 7 sides of Ats or o/u. With 9 weeks left there's a good chance you'll hit the 2nd in the next 4 weeks. Its probably good for 2-3 units. At this point there are 10 teams that fall into this system.
Anybody ever backtest this?
