A few weeks ago there was a parlay thread started here that fizzled out after a little while. I was hoping that it would continue, as I enjoy playing high ML parlays. I want to start another parlay thread as my way of contributing to this forum, where I have already learned a lot from the people here.
I played high ML parlays for college football and did pretty well, however I don't wager too much on them. I started back up two weeks ago with college basketball and have been 6-3 +4.5 units (sometimes doing a high ML parlay with the morning games and then chasing with later games if I lose. I wouldn't suggest following me yet (or at all) because I don't know if I will have the discipline to keep the thread going long-term. Here are my parameters:
- I will parlay the highest ML teams of the day because I do not have any handicapping skills. - I may chase an early day loss with a later day ML parlay.
I usually just play 1 unit but I want to play a little more with the tournament. I don't always play for even money, so the losses hurt.
Today's parlay: SMU Cal Penn St Oregon St 10 units risking for 6.08 units
Normally I will only play to win 1 unit, but I am hoping the the first couple rounds of the tournament will be good for high ML parlaying so I will risk more.

Previously I would pick 2 faves in the NHL that I felt had the best change of winning.. would often end up with + money odds. Would take into consideration the teams involved, L10 and current streak.
Worked out reasonably well..
Have since gone away from that method to focus my attention on set system plays with labby management.

Just my 2 cents... but based on my experience with parlays I think it's better to restrict them to 2 teams of around the $1.50 odds... I believe -150 (no idea for US odds).. therefor giving plus money.
I generally found the Dogs will win atleast 1 game on the day.. and with 3 teams you are increasing the chances of being caught up in THAT one game to ruin a parlay.. of course not to say you won't hit a 3 team parlay...
You will always read about someone hitting a 10 team parlay or a 5 team parlay.. don't be suckered into those ones.
That's my 2 cents based on my experience when doing them..

There's no system for parlay play, you capp your games and bet; yes they're fun, the ML makes them even more interesting, why high level (ML) favorites? they pay nothing. I'll end your thread with a dynamic 12 teamer consisting of todays, and tomorrows NCAA tournament games combined. betting 1unit ($100) lets see what happens.
Duke -1100 ML
Kansas -1500 ML
Kentucky -250 ML
Creighton -1100 ML
North Carolina -180 ML
Iowa State -400 ML
Virginia Commonwealth -260 ML
UCLA -410 ML
Belmont -450 ML
Syracuse -280 ML
Villanova -165 ML
Florida -250 ML
my best, enjoy the tournament, and enjoy the entertainment ML parlays brings to the recreational side of sports betting (just don't take them serious; is my only advice)
