I'm trying to calculate the Pythagorean Differential for the 2018 NFL Season for all 32 teams. I calculated the Pythagorean Projected Wins for the 2017 season and tied it out with the values on pro-football-reference.com. Is the Differential 2017 Pythagorean Projected Wins - 2017 Actual Wins - ?
Example...
Arizona Cardinals won 8 games in 2017. Pythagorean Projection is 6.1. The Pythogorean Differential is -1.9.
Is that the correct math for calculating the differential? Any help is appreciated.
