I know this isn't the best Sub forum for this question but I don't see a general question sub forum. My question is how often should I adjust my be5 sizes? Should I do it everyday? If I have a thousand dollar BR today and a 800 BR tomorrow should today's bets be based on a 1000 dollar BR and tomorrow's a 800 dollar BR. I've read a lot about Kelley but nothing really tells me if I should always base my bets on my BR at the start of the season or my BR on the day I place the bet.

I don't use Kelley, but bets are based on your 'current' bankroll on the day of betting. Good luck!

essentially you're betting more when your winning and less when you're losing. The problem is that when your BR is in a deficit it will take you longer to recover or get back to EVEN, but it will also keep you from going bust. Risk/Reward it's all about what type of bettor you are and your RISK level.

Another problem with Kelley is how well can we predict our EDGE. Very few can do that accurately on a consistant basis, another flaw in the system in my opinion.

Not having the ability to accurately and consistently measure your edge is not a flaw in the Kelly method. It is a flaw in the capper's method. Those who cannot measure their WP on an accurate and consistent basis will most likely fail at using Kelly as their wagering strategy.

I forgot to mention that I use Kelly as my wagering strategy and have used it since 1994.
