Does anyone have data for all NFL teams in any prearranged format? This would be best as detailed as possible. Does the NFL release these statistics y/y or is there an official database somewhere etc?
I would be happy to share these findings with this person / whole board if they would be happy to point me in the right direction.
To give you a little background I am mostly involved in automated algorithmic strategies pertaining to derivative contracts traded electronically. I just happened to stumble upon some data mining software, which I do not use for my trading strategies, but would like to make a use for it pertaining to beating the spread.
I am working for a hedge fund currently, usually am pretty busy, but have a lot of time in the next few days to kill as the software that I use is getting serviced by IT.
I am not sure how far I can take it as I personally have not used the software before, and honestly it seems pretty fucking complicated, but I am guessing that it would only take a handful of hours to get used to. Once I did this I could take the data and supposedly do some pretty interesting things with it. But I can't promise anything.
You do though have my word that I will share information with all, I probably will not though share my methods. I should also add that the software does most of the work and I am not a mathematical mastermind.
By the way, it would be nice if also somehow I could get the spreads for all the previous games too that this data correlates with.
Thanks in advance guys.
