Has anyone ever tried to figure out the methodology behind his ratings. They seem incongruous to me.
For instance, all MLB teams have only played one other team so far. So all 2-0 teams should have the same rating. Same for 2-1, 1-2, 1-1, and 2-0.
Yet,he has 1-1 Marlins and Pirates higher than 1-1 Mets and Cubs. He has 2-1 Dodgers higher than 2-1 Royals. He also has 1-2 Angels higher than 1-2 Giants.
I thought at first that it had to do run differential or "MOV" but that isn't working out.
If anybody has insight or cares, please post.
