I read an article stating the making smaller bets is a pretty good strategy to use, because it will pay in the long run. If you bet large you run the risk of demolishing your bank roll if you run into a losing streak too early in the game.
So I heard it is safe to bet 2% on average, of your bankroll. Lowering it to 1% on games you're less confident in and increasing it to a MAX of 5% of your bank roll...but try to keep the average bet to 2% of your bank roll.
I am sure that some bettors here use a rule similar to this. The percentages may vary, but they follow some sort of money management nonetheless. For those of you, this question is directed towards you:
Let's say my bankroll is $100 and I want to place two bets with 2% of my bank roll. Do I recalculate my bankroll after each bet?
EX: Bet 1 = $2.00 (2% of $100) Bet 2 = $1.96 (2% of the $98 that remain after I placed my first bet) so on and so forth...
Or do you recalculate your bankroll at the end of the day, based on your winnings/losings from your bets?
EX: Bet 1 and Bet 2 are both $2.00 each. Assuming you win both bets, your new bankroll would be $102.20 and for the next days bets your percentage would be based off that new calculated bankroll.

I'm certainly no pro gambler but from what I understand 1-2% is a good amount of your BR to gamble on average, and definitily never more then 5%. And I heard on a radio show one time a pro gambler said it's best to recalculate everyday cuz the way he put it is when you are on winning streaks it helps to maximize profits and when you are on losing streaks it helps to minimize loses (or at least something like that) I personally gamble 3% just cuz it's my favorite/lucky number. I hope this helps.

Thanks bpn333. Yeah, recalculating everyday will help maximize earning on winning streaks and minimizing damage on losing streaks. Thanks for the response.
(I figured recalculating after each bet is placed would be a bit tedious).

Thanks for the article Ziegler. Very informative. Do you use that method? Does it work well for you?
The chick in my avatar is Lexxxi Tyler. She is a porn star (girl-girl only though) so if you search around you can find pics of her letting those puppies breathe!

The larger your bankroll the smaller the percentage, between 1% and 5%. If you want to be aggressive there are a couple strategies that won't bust you out.
1) the bigger the advantage the bigger the bet, but staying with in the 1% to 5% range.
2) this is really aggressive and hard to stay with if you hit a bad skid, but dividing your bankroll by 4 then using the 25% split up on your plays.
Flat betting is always the safe way but after a winning season you'll only be up a few units.
