Looking trade tips and stragities with people making a living betting sports. I lived in Las Vegas for 8 years. At the time I was making about $2500 to $3000 a month, after taxes, around $2000. I keep a log and made a simple spreadsheet to keep track of my wins and loses. I would PROFIT after expenses, bar tab, food ect, $1000 to $1200 a month. Not a lot but I'm making half my money was great. That was when I didn't know about the art of sports betting. I've talked to old timers, got new ideas learned what to look for. My goal is to make $1000 a day consistently. It will take me awhile to create a bank roll. I have touted for some guys and made money that way. With a great winning percentage. Last year first day of college football I went to a sports book with $450 dollars, at the end of the day, I had $2400. I didn't make any evening bets either, could of made more money. Here is the kicker, I lost it all on a craps table in a hour the next day. That's my story like most degen gamblers, we can make money on something, a game that we can win, it might be craps, poker, blackjack. Since we can win at that game its easy no fun we need a challenge, so we go to a challenge something harder and we lose. I've lost everything I made in Vegas. I left there making close to 50k a year. I've learned a lot had fun, time to get serious, and no craps table. I dont live in Vegas anymore. Casino make money 99% from slots, off the drunk dropping their money making bad bets, in the name of having fun, whats so fun about losing money. You can play a video game for fun. There are guys making money in betting sports, I've seen it. Guys make about 50K a year. To guys making millions. Online gambling is no fun...tried it, no people, boring setting, maybe I was lonely like most degen gamblers. I really think I can make a living at it. Be able to enjoy life. Sitting at home, not getting dirty, making a living off what I like to do...stay home watch sports, smoke my herbal, and make money.
P.S. May I suggest a great read Stu Unger autobiography great book, movie does no justice, I picked it up finished that night, had a friend over the next day, and read it to him.
