..so i'm thinking I should maybe take all my A bets as straight bets as well as my B bets and stop there. any thoughts?
Depends what sport and how many lines you are going to have going at once. If you are betting football and just going to have one line (ex. 5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5) Then I would say 5 is a good starting #.
If it's baseball I would start with a smaller #. Probably 2's. It seems small but you have to take bankroll management seriously.
For instance a line like this 4 days ago (2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2) betting on the Phillies...now looks like this
(2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 5.88, 20.48, 76.43, 127.06)
So now all of a sudden after a 4 game ass kicking at home you have lost over $230 and you are looking at bet of about $130-$200 depending on the line tomorrow.
That's how people lose money and get pissed off, but if you have got the bankroll to back it up you can get through it. The next week is going to scary as hell but you can get through it.
Football and basketball is not as bad because the lines are usually -110 instead of baseball where they fluxuate so much.
