Anyone Have A Reco On A Inexpensive Tablet

I see all these tablets in the under $200 range.  Anyone own one and have anything positive to say?  It would be just something to use with wifi to check emails, read news, and possibly play a little online poker when I am on the road.  Just entertainment that would be a step up from my smart phone. 

I would be open to a netbook as well if that would suit my needs better.  I would be willing to spend up to $300 on a either one.  I would prefer a tablet but I just would like someone with some techie knowledge to recommend one or the other.

look into the Apad, Android base, the Chinese tablet, got it for my 4 year old to mess around with so she would stop using my Ipad. It works fine for emailing and internet new for less than $ 100
