I use bodog as my book. I recently purchased a Treo 700wx. This phone is basically a laptop bundled into the size of a pda cellphone. While on the internet via the phone, I can visit pages as I would at home or work. For example, I can go to yahoo, login as normal, and adjust my fantasy team. However, on bodog, after I enter my account number and password, the sign in key isn't able to be clicked or executable. This being said, I can' t login.
Has anyone had this same issue? If so, is there anyway around it? After trying to open an account with Betcris yesterday for 5 hours so I could use their mobile platform - to no avail - I'm not interested in opening at a new book. It was a fcking nightmare. Absolutely horrible!!!

msuyall- i went to upgrade my phone today and I was deciding between the Motorola Q and the Treo. I was talking to the verizon guy, who was knowlegible, and he said that you can't use gambling sites well with either phone. Basically they don't run flash or java, which means nothing to me, but he said it means you can't click on the boxes in the sites. so, you can't click on the team you want, therefore, you can't gamble on them.
do you like the treo. should I get it or the Q?
well, while i am writing this a BetCris ad is running to the right. maybe try betcris. they might have different software or something?????
If you find something out let me know. thanks.

Haven't found anything out on the Treo message boards regarding the click through/sign in issue. However, I've noted that on bodog through my computer, if I enter my account number/password and hit enter instead of clicking login it works. So, essentially, I just need to find the equivalent to the enter key on the Treo 700wx. I've tried every key that I would like could be the enter key to no avail. I'll let you know what I find out.
As for the phone, it's fcking awesome! I can't claim I am a phone guru, but, I can't imagine something being better than this. I didn't choose the motorla q because this had much better reviews - both online blogs/message boards/ etc. and through places I trust like the Wall Street Journal.
I don't know much about the q other than the reviews and that it is more compact but less "powerful." I love the fact that the Treo can be used as a touch screen with a stylus or by navigating with buttons. I'm not sure if the motorola q is touch screen. based on this feature only, if the q isn't, i would highly recommend going with the Treo.
The biggest downside to the Treo is the weight. It's not a brick and plenty stylish...but, it's the heaviest phone I've had in probably 5 years. I hear the q is pretty light.
Note...I have the Treo 700wx. My understanding is that you want a Treo XXX with a w (verizon) or wx (sprint) on the end. The w means that it runs Windows Mobile 5.0 - which is really cool!!! I haven't used a Treo that uses Palm's software - but, again, I couldn't imagine it being any better than this.

I have the Treo 700 Palm version and I like it better. From what I heard the Windows version is not a touch screen where the Palm version is. I login to caribsports and Pinny all the time to put bets in and having a touch screen sure helps alot especially right before kickoff bets.
Just to see.. I logged into my bodog account fine and click to put bets in... get the palm version

I have the 700wx and have no problems logging into any websites. One of the posters is right though as far as weight i'm not thrilled but I guess 95% of the time I use my bluetooth anyways so it becomes non existent as I have it in my pocket. But for a camera/internet/contacts/outlook beaming pda all in one phone i'm not sure it can get better. I still think I only know 50% of what my phone can do. I am a big time user so one thing that hurts is battery life which almost all phone have the problem. I usually talk about 100-250 minutes a day and my plan is 6000 minutes a month. I'll be honest I liked the 700wx over the 700p after testing both for a week.

can someone help me with this problem...i will be in a situation where it would be impossible to use a computer or phone to call in wagers. I am looking for a phone/PDA solution that would allow me to make wagers and surf sites like covers. Sites i use are 5dimes, thegreek, and betjamaica.

You would need a pocketpc. It worked for me on Pinny and 5Dimes. Just call the books and ask them if a Pocket Pc will work with thier services. Now the built in IE if you use a Microsoft based OS will not work at covers. You can not use it with the forums. Altough it works on other forums I use.
