HP USA says call Peru and get a recovery disk for a reset. I¨m not sold on that plan unless thatñs the onñly route.
Any ideas warmly welomed.

Well Best Buy geek squad tells me that this Windows home premiium version cannot be changed over to english. I have to buy the new Windows ultimate upgrade for 139.00 to make the change.

Go here and type in the model number. For some reason when I typed in what you posted nothing came up. When it finds your model it will take you to a page with drivers and a link for recovery disk. I just order some last week for $16 each.

Scratch that......go here now. Pick your operating system. If recovery disk isn't listed look to the left side and click on parts or the online store. I know they have the sukers somewhere. This is too new a system to not have them. If that doesn't work I can send you a "special" disk to reformat in English.

Hey, here is something for you. Almost all HP's now have a recovery partition built right in. Hit the F11 key as soon as you see the blue HP screen when you turn the computer on. It should take you to recovery manager where you can pick English and re-install. Give that a shot. Just remember to back up your data before you do this. Also do a destructive recovery.

HP USA tells me that the warranty is no longer available to me for tech support but say it´s live in Peru. Tomorrow I´m calling HP in Lima to see if this is actually the case. (computer´s not even a year old). I´ll let you know if they are able to give me a hand on the conversion because believe me, if I start punching keys without some backup, then I´ll screw everything up.
Thanks for your help lipps...really appreciate it.
