HUGE computer problem (help!)

Question

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows Vista. I got it less than 2 months ago!

When I start the computer, the screen is completely blank except that it says a few things...

Intel UNDI, PXE 2.1 (build 082)
Copyright (c) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

PXE-E61: Media Test Failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Existing PXE ROM

Operating System not found

Could anyone help me out with what this stuff means? How could the computer not detect my operating system?

I have a fucking paper due tomorrow at 4pm and would appreciate any help to fixing my computer instead of having to borrow one of the roommates'.

Sounds like your hard drive has malfunctioned.  It&#x27;s still covered, depending on where you got it.  At one of the big box stores it shouldn&#x27;t be a problem.  An online place might be a bit more dicey.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The reason youare seeing all that stuff on the screen is there the hard drive isn&#x27;t working the laptop is looking for other possible boot devices.
