My phone is sooooo slooooow!!! I've had it for two years and love it but lately, the phone has slowed to a crawl. By that I mean, when I click on "messages" to text someone, it takes about 7 to 10 seconds to load. Then when I text the person, it says "please wait" on my screen for like 10 or 20 seconds vefore going through. Same thing when I want to go on the internet, it takes a long time to load pages.
I have virtually no apps running. I took it to the sprint store, and the girl (who sold me the phone two years ago and is their most experienced person) told me to delete some email and text message threads. So I said ok....I keep trying to delete messages, but when I try to delete a thread, it "works" for like an hour, and eventually doesn't erase it anyway. WTF???
I actually was succesful in deleting two long message threads, and yet my phone still shows the same thing in total space (7.4 GB) that it did before I deleted anything. WTF???
How do I speed my phone up? I've googled. I've gone to the sprint store. I've gone to the Android forums. No help at any of those places.

I have the same phone and also love it. I am due for upgrade. My wife has Iphone 4 and loves it but i think the screen is too small. Which phone should I upgrade to Iphone 5 or stay with Android? Didn't mean to jack your thread but it was similar question and didn't want to start new thread.

i had an evo for over 2 years and just got the galaxy 3 the evo really isnt a bad phone and if i lose my galaxy i would have no problem switching back to the evo bc im not paying for insurance or 500 dollars for a new phone
i had the same problem with the evo the problem was my texts werent set to erase, so i had tens of thousands of texts in the phone you can program your phone to just save a certain amount with each person (i think the default is 200)
at this point if you try delteing them it will just sit there all day your best bet is to do a factory reset once you do this your phone will be good as new and texts will open and send instantly just remember to program it to automatically erase old messages
also apple sucks
